Great hosts at the Coastal Center. Architecture and Siege portions of the program were great. We visited Charleston on the 150th anniversary of the Hunley event. Good sampler of the Charleston area. The Gullah presenter was unprepared, we got more from a great video.

Very knowledgeable instructors who made Charleston's history and architecture come alive through their entertaining presentations. Wonderful hosts in a delightful coastal setting. I highly recommend this program.

I would recommend this program (The Siege of Charleston, Its Architecture, and the Gullah Experience) to anyone who enjoys learning about American history. It was well worth the time and money!

The Siege of Charleston, Road Scholar Program # 15641-021013 was outstanding from the viewpoint of expanding my knowledge of the City of Charleston, The War Between the States, Charleston's historical architecture, and spring is already blooming in Charleston. I am inspired to read much more about the Civil War, and the people and times of South Carolina. Well done, with outstanding presenters, Ernest Shealy and Randy Burbage.

Loved every moment of the tour, the lectures were outstanding, every meal at the Retreat Center was wonderful, accommodations at the Retreat Center were simple but very adequate BUT we missed being in downtown Charleston - a lot of time was wasted driving back and forth and we didn't get to explore Charleston on our own because of being so far away from downtown.

We enjoyed another Road Scholar program. This time back in Charleston SC. We have never been disappointed.
