Leaning to work with stained glass has been on my bucket list for some time. I finally was able to attend at Cedar Lakes, and I was delighted to come away with some very nice projects. Dave Houser provides all of the necessary tools and equipment and walks the beginners through the basics. He also works easily with participants at all levels, taking the time to understand their questions and helping them to work to a solution. I was most impressed with the quality of work achieved. The setting was relaxed and we were free to select our own projects. I am going to attempt to attach some photos showing the beginning basic project - a box ornament - and some of the various projects in progress or completed.

I have not done any stained glass work as an art and craft project, so I came into class as a beginner. Dave Houser, who is outstanding in his field of stained glass was the instructor. There were three of us who could be classed as beginners. Dave gave ample instruction on the various methods and procedures on how to work with the glass including cutting, foiling, and soldering. We were able to complete several projects for the week and went away with a satisfaction that we learned a new craft. Dave always took time to help and give useful tips. He is one of the outstanding instructors at Cedar Lakes.
