Reviews, photos and videos for program: Birding By Kayak in the Lowcountry
Joseph from Ridgefield, CT Number of programs attended: 6
Date attended: 03/24/13 - 03/29/13
We recommend this program to people who might enjoy birding from a kayak. The accommodations , food, equipment, and instructors were excellent. The program staff went out of their way to accommodate the needs of individuals in the group. The instructors were knowledgeable about birding, kayaking, the ecology of the local area, the history of the area, etc. it would be useful if you have good birding binoculars , have kayaked before, and you are looking forward to an adventure. It is better if you kayak in a single kayak rather than a tandem because some of the black water paddling is tight. Photography is possible, but if you have an expensive camera bring a dry bag. We shared our photos on disks after the last day. Also, bring clothes suitable for the season and an unexpected temperature swing.
