This was a well organized, fun program and three days was a good length of time. This was an excellent way to view the high spirited parades from a safe place AND to learn about the mystic societies. Going to the downtown hotel on Fat Tuesday worked out well. We had a place to rest in between the many parades and a ballroom to enjoy a nice lunch and dinner. The balcony was wonderful for an overview of the floats. We all enjoyed going to the float barn and to the museum on the first day. We went home with lots of colorful beads and Moon Pies and "loot"! Good thing we had our car.
