Reviews, photos and videos for program: America's Arctic and Fairbanks' Winter Carnival

If you are adventurous, this program is for you. Each day you experience something new and exciting. The speakers are informative and friendly. My advise is to be sure you have the proper clothing for the cold and dry climate. I highly recommend snow pants, cleats for boots to avoid slipping, and hand warmers to put in your mittens ( toe warmers, if you tend to get cold feet). But no worries, there is a great sports shop across the street from the hotel. Just go in, tell them your activity, and they will suit you up. The Aurora viewing was SPECTACULAR!

This program gives participants the chance to spend 3 days with dogs, mushers, and dog sleds. This program includes 5 nights in Coldfoot, 70 miles, north of the Arctic Circle, and one of the best places on this planet to experience the Aurora Borealis. Coldfoot was wonderful! and the Ice Festival in Fairbanks was great!

The March 12 program was just amazing. Great aurora. Terrific leaders. Terrific food. Please check out my five page review and awesome pictures on my web site: http://www.elstonhill.com/coldfoot.html

This was a fantastic trip, a true adventure being in the Arctic Circle and staying at Cold Foot, a place like no other place I have ever been. The leader Kathleen was terrific. Although I went there to see the Aurora, it paled next to the experience of experiencing interior Alaska in Winter.
