Essential Arkansas introduced us to some of the best of that state. The knowledgeable guides and speakers, the comfortable transportation and accommodations, the good food, and our friendly tour leaders made this a memorable experienced.

Excellent program with something for everyone. In addition to the Clinton Presidential Center and Crystal Bridges, the highlights included the Native American Museum (relatively small, but more interesting and informative than the Smithsonian Museum at the Mall in DC)and the great music at the Ozark Folk Center. Highly recommend this trip!

Jodi Morris, the park ranger who guided us and told us about the events in 1957 at Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas, did a great job of making that time come alive and help us to understand what really happened as well as the events leading up to it and the time afterward. Even some of us who were young adults at the time didn't understand.

So glad I chose this trip. I had never been to Arkansas but prepared with a little study including two of the recommended books. The variety was great. Had I planned better I might have made different choices in the use of my free time, but there was so much included I probably needed the time to digest all that we were doing. Loved the bit of autumn color in mid October. Weather perfect! Crystal Bridges architecture spectacular.

Eleanor from New York, NY Number of programs attended: 1 Date attended: 10/29/14 - 10/27/14 This is a trip that has it all—history, city life and mountain scenery, the Clinton Presidential Library and two remarkable museums. The trip’s highlight was the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, with spectacular architecture and an important growing collection. Bentonville’s little-known Museum of Native American History was a surprise, an impressive once private cache of treasures. Lodgings were excellent throughout. The trip was well planned and organized, and is highly recommended.

I was impressed with the variety of experiences we had. My view of Arkansas has changed. There is much more of interest there to me than I ever imagined.

A well-run program with the Clinton Library in Little Rock and Crystal Bridges American Art Museum in Bentonville, key attractions. Hope to see the FLWright house moved from New Jersey when it opoens at the museum in 2015.

This program is a great introduction to the state of Arkansas. It provided the opportunity to explore several areas of central and northwest Arkansas. The Central High School exhibit and park ranger's talk was a very memorable experience. A stop at the Ozark Folk Life Center was delightful. Listening to the mountain music, visiting the craft demonstration shops, such fun. And Crystal Bridges museum is definitely a must see when in the area. The architecture, the art, the valley, amazing. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who would like to explore a unique section of the United States.
