This program evidences the considerable fine-tuning efforts of the Group Leaders. In addition to the truly spectacular hiking, we learned much about Kiwi flora and fauna, agriculture, history, geology, and government. The pacing was great for high energy travelers like ourselves, with just enough downtime to keep us enthused. Our hosts were able to share their own lifelong travel discoveries and hidden places, so we never felt too crowded. A truly spectacular program.

If you are interested in a trip of wondrous beauty and rigorous hiking this is the trip for you. The trip is well organized and planned. Some high protein snacks might be in order to supplement some breakfasts. The leaders Brian and Pauline Mahoney were fun, informative and delightful companions as well fellow hikers. I would highly recommend.

This is a fabulous trip! Spectacular scenery and challenging hikes. Very knowledgeable and supportive leaders. Well-planned for challenges and pacing. We were lucky with fine weather (only two short periods of rain) and very compatible members. We're experienced RS participants, and this was one of the very best trips.

A great mix of shorter to long and challenging hikes, scheduled so there is recovery time. Very well organized and led by great leaders and excellent outside resource people.

A very succinct trip to New Zealand; a great overall understanding of its geography, government, people, agriculture, and best of all its incredible beauty.
