ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This program was very helpful to me physically and emotionally and was well worth the complicated travel arrangements I had to make! Kudos to The Santa Cruz Experience shuttle; professional, on time and excellent driver.

This Rejuvenation Program has been a buffet of helpful ideas/practice at Land of Medicine Buddha nestled in a Coastal Redwood forest. The buffet includes Qigong, simple meditation practice, self-massage using reflexology/joint massage, aromatherapy, herbology using herbs for Autumn and Spring, essential oils, healing teas, woodland walking. The daily Qigong, and meditation are keystone activities in this program (for me), Breige, site coordinator, is very helpful before and during the trip. No problems with my gluten-free nutrition needs. Outstanding homemade breakfast granola. This is my first Road Scholar Trip chosen close to home, to learn if consequences of serious health issues would interfere with the trip. And, to learn more about this area I now call home... Colorado transplant. Great choice, great experience, great Staff at The Land of Medicine Buddha. Last of all, oak woodlands, coastal scrub & chaparral, and sand dunes are nearby. Highly recommend this trip.

Very peaceful and quite hiking in the giant red woods. Food balanced and tasty. So much information on improving your health with knowledgeable teachers. Able to get a outstanding lady with personal information to take care of your body with a massage for your own needs. Will come away very nourished, relaxed with a wealth of information for a calmer way of life style. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Gerri from IL 22 in program March30 to April 2, 2014

Date attended: 04/15/13 - 04/18/13
Dolores from Mission Viejo, CA I have attended several Road Scholar programs which have always lived up to my expectations. This was no exception. The setting is so tranquil and the classes were well done. Loved the Qiqong and aromatherapy, which I am using. The meditation was the best. Overall, I will tell friends and recommend it. Only trouble as I see it, is lack of cell phone coverage but perhaps that was really good.

Brenda from San Jose, CA Number of programs attended: 0
Date attended: 04/15/13 - 04/18/13
This was my first event with Road Scholar and my first time at LMB and absolutely loved it. I needed some time to myself and emotional healing. The medication sessions were just what the doctor ordered. I highly recommend this event to others and look forward to participating in other Road Scholar trips.

This was my first experience with Road Scholar but it won't be my last! This retreat was beyond my expectations and I enjoyed being in a learning environment and meeting all of the wonderful women who participated in this rejuvenating retreat. LOMB was a beautiful and spiritual place that I would visit again.
