EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

For the Art Lover with a brief visit to our Nation's historical sites. A perfect trip. A chance to see art treasures and learn more about our Country's founding fathers. I use a cane, but had no problem keeping up. Hotel in a safe central location with good food, congenial group, and interesting, nicely paced itinerary. Road Scholar takes care of everything! They do very good job of providing pre- trip information so you know what's ahead.

A wonderful introduction to the Barnes Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. As a bonus, we toured a group of murals on building walls.

Rich in content compressed into just 2 full days.

Myrna from Lowville, NY Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 03/28/14 - 03/31/14
The diversity of this program makes it broadly informative and keeps it from becoming dull. It is what I would call a Sanity Saver program.

Rene from Suffern, NY Number of programs attended: 11

Fabulous program. Terrific program leader. The only problem was the transportation; long walks, often in the rain; buses not available.

Philadelphia is an attractive, historic, manageable city with much to see. The Barnes Museum was a real highlight.

Patricia from Fairport, NY Number of programs attended: 22

I have been to over 20 Road Scholar programs and would rate this as about the best!

If you enjoy museums, learning more about the wonderful buildings and exhibits, the 3-night, 4 day Jewels of Philadelphia trip is the perfect choice.

Stewart from Richmond, RI Number of programs attended: 17
Date attended: 05/03/13 - 05/06/13
Excellent program; accommodations were good, resturant above average; very good events scheduled. Commentary from guides, however, was negligent. Better lectures warranted.

Charles from Exton, PA Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 04/26/13 - 04/29/13
This program was exactly what had been promised, and provided a short but very informative overview of several of Philadelphia's museums. I was favorably impressed by lectures on Philadelphia architecture and history, and (my personal view) that, in our short visit, no time was wasted on shopping and crafts demonstrations.
