I really enjoyed this tour! We had a choice of two different hikes each day and went to three different parts of Yosemite. With excellent instructors and group leaders, we were well taken care of and able to just relax and enjoy the experience.

This was my first Roads Scholar tour, but my first time hiking. At 63, I can still hike the distance and this trip was an absolute pleasure. Having most of my hiking experience on the east coast has exposed me to rocks, boulders, downed trees, stream crossings, and the like. In particular, the High Peaks region of Lake Placid has formidable trails where one is needing to negotiate long stretches of trails. By comparison, he hikes for this trip were tame. I came to love the magnificent Sequoias! The wildflowers, birds, waterfalls, Half Dome, El Capitan (and legends), Taft Point, Sentinel Dome, Glacier Point, Vernal Fall, and Mariposa Woods - wonderful! The guides, Shirley and Mark, exceptionally good!

Enjoyed the program and our guides. The hikes were very focused on giving us views of Yosemite that they know and love. Hikes were adjusted based on weather conditions and the groups capabilities. I enjoyed the group of fellow travelers. We had an opportunity to see some of the wonders of Yosemite. I have been on overseas trips with Road Scholar and felt the dining experience was not up to my expectations. The food was over cooked and the support staff could have done a better job servicing their customers. Overall a great experience.

This program exceeded my already high expectations and allowed us many interesting and awesome hikes in one of the most beautiful parks in the US. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and very instructive and helpful.

Our instructors did a remarkable job adapting to the Park's closure. All our hikes were great, even outside the Park, and we learned so much about the geology and ecology of the area. Great program.

This was an outstanding program! We arrived 5 days after the government shut down and Kristin, the program leader, and Mark and Shirley, the amazing guides, were prepared with a wonderful alternate plan since we couldn't get into the Park. The week went off without a hitch and we saw inspirational places on our hikes, learned so many great things, and enjoyed the company of outstanding leaders and interesting hiking companions. The food was excellent! The location was beautiful. Thank you Road Scholar for overcoming a challenging situation so successfully!
