I love animals. All kinds of animals. Of the eight Road Scholar programs I have been on this had been my favorite. I just love Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

I really enjoyed the educational aspect of this trip - the lectures and demonstrations were wonderful. The vegetarian lunch buffet was fantastic! Walking the dogs was a definite highlight for me (bit of a dog lover!)

Yes, but we walked dogs, walked cats, fed the rabbits and goats, petted the pigs—and don’t forget the vegetarian lunches. Nice pictures in dropbox, thanks..

Keep in mind, this is a service oriented program, so there will be: poop scooping; trail maintenance(poop); cleaning of pens & runs (yes, poop there too). If you can get past that, Best Friends is a worthwhile experience. This is a great program! For anyone who is interested in the animal welfare movement, or just loves animals, a visit to Best Fiends Animal Sanctuary is a must. And the fact that you also get to visit two spectacular national parks - Zion and Bryce Canyon - is an added bonus. I would highly recommend this program to anyone.
