ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Great intro to our neighbors to the North-their culture, industries, problems and pleasures. Program description should include the word "gourmet" to describe their fresh food!

Absolutely wonderful, memorable program. Learned a lot and had fun doing it. Food excellent, as were accommodations.

This was my first Road Scholar trip. I loved every minute of it. In the end, I felt that I not only had a good time, but I also learned a lot of history about the Canadian Maritimes. Although I had a friend with me, I wouldn't hesitate to do a trip by myself.

The saga of the Maritime Provinces, its culture and history, is revealed each day of this marvelous program. You'll be delighted by the many guest instructors who describe the strong, resilient and creative settlers to the equally strong and creative current population who carry on the heritage. It's a "must do" program.

This was a wonderful Road Scholar Adventure! Oh, how I wish I could repeat it all again. The Maritimes were more than I imagined!

Although I was drawn to this trip specifically due to reading the Anne of Green Gables series to my daughters when they were young, I enjoyed learning about and touring all of the planned Canadian Maritimes sites. August weather was perfect, food delicious, guides knowledgable and the group convivial. I had a great time.

I was glad to get to know Joy during the trip & fully endorse all she says. The Bay of Fundy is amazing!

This trip was informative, enriching, fun, and well-organized and led by a wonderful and articulate woman from PEI. The other participants were smart, warm, easy-going with a good sense of humor. The food was truly A+. I felt that my world expanded considerably as a result of taking this trip and would recommend it to anyone.

David from Westminster, MD Number of programs attended: 3

Canadian Maritimes was a well paced tour covering important and educational sites with quality leadership. My favorite educational experiences were the Halifax cemetery where many Titanic victims were buried, and visits to an organic farm and lobster-mussel factory.
