The beauty of the Oregon coast, the inspiration of fellow participants & the creative sessions by the program staff exceeded the expectations of this first time "scholar"! Can't say enough wonderful things about the program provider, Carol, and writing guru Barbara. A week of writing, exploring & fun not long forgotten.

I just got back from the Women: Learning, Walking, and Writing on the Oregon Coast program. If you love nature and you love writing and you love being with interesting people, this is the program for you.

The program leaders, Lynn and Carol, and all the speakers they arrange for this program, share their expertise in their field with a personal touch, personal stories, and in an easy to understand jargon.

I improved my writing and learned exactly how to publish my book, whether it be a memoir for 6 members of my family or a novel for the world. I learned about the geology and the commercial fishing life of the area. I saw whales, seals, sea lions, barnacles, sea anemones, sea stars (aka star fish), an eagle and a falcon, pelicans flying in formation by the picture window, young cormorants filling the rocks.

The nature walks are easy strolls. The people are so interesting, you will never forget them.

Program 6925733 Women Learning, Walking, & Writing Marine Life was the topic that Carol knew best. Shape-shifting plates, lava, and all the rest. She taught us to keep digging to see What this phase of life can be. The book collectors bought copies And toted them away like treasure They preferred books with sea scents As they added to their pleasure. Although genres differed, one thing was sure The urge to tell our truth was pure Barb's format for teaching Enhanced the lure. Costal Journeys Connections gave us Lynn as well. Besides info on commercial fishing, his driving was swell. Nesting for five days at the Inn Made us comfortable to begin To ready ourselves for the search And write about what we unearth.
