We had a great week in Cape May. The informative lectures were given by local experts. The field trips complemented the lectures. The hotel is on the beach-- beautiful views and spectacular sunrises. Food was very good. We chose the September program to avoid the summer crowds.

The week in Cape May truly exceeded my expectations. Programs were excellent and very informative as well as entertaining and the scheduling was perfect allowing a leisurely start to the day and just the right amount of free time. Participants were all friendly and fun and Molly, our leader, was great in every way. A most enjoyable and relaxing program indeed!

Our favorite parts of the program were the costumed enactments nearly every night. We certainly learned a lot about Victorians; their philosophy, history, ethics, religion, social structure and economics. I personally felt that there was too much free time, but other participants appreciated its leisurely. Our Program Director, Molly Goodrich, was exceptional.

I met John Philip Sousa!!! He "joined" us in beautiful Cape May and told us about his very interesting and musical life. He lived in Cape May and I am envious! The houses...oh my! It is beauty and color beyond your wildest expectations! The clip-clop of the horses and carriages also bring you back into a time long ago. The trolley rides are brisk and the lecturers, informative. Delight yourself with almost a week away in the Victorian splendor of yesteryear.

Cape May, NJ is a wonderful and walkable city. Our classes were held in the Inn of Cape May, which is right near to the beach. It is a couple blocks from the outside shopping mall, the convention center, trolley rides and the horse and buggy rides. It is also near to the public library, grocery store, a yarn store, a cross stitch store and churches. The only drug store, a CVS is bit of a walk away. You are also within walking distance of the NJ transit bus station. I took a bus to Cape May, after taking a casino bus to Atlantic City. Its easy to fall in love with Cape May.

Just returned from an interesting, informative and enjoyable week at Cape May. The participants were all enthusiastic and fun. I learned a lot about Victorian times. Only downside was being inside for the lectures when it was so gorgeous outside, but that's life (wasn't a problem the day it rained!) Really really enjoyed Rich's lectures on music, he made the subject come alive for me. All speakers were excellent, and enjoyed the fact that most used the power point to the best advantage, showing pictures while they talked instead of simply reading off the projected image. On the whole I would recommend this to anyone. Great value for the money.

Being transported back to the Victorian era and meeting people of that time is so intriguing. These leaders, in the costumes of the era, made you think you were have a conversation in their home. Outstanding experience.
