My 9 year old grand daughter and I enjoyed this trip. The bike ride is challenging but there is a sag wagon to assist anyone who needs to take a break. The rest of the activities of horse back riding, hiking, white water rafting and rodeo were a lot of fun. The Teton region is absolutely beautiful and so worth a trip. The accommodations and food were very good.. I would recommend arriving a day early to acclimate a bit to the altitude. to explore the town of Jackson or just relax, at the lodge.

This program is truly educational, interesting, and fun! We had not previously been to the Tetons so thoroughly enjoyed this experience with our grandson (who loved it also.) The instructors, Gene and Joe, had vast amounts of knowledge. The scenery was breathtaking and the ability to see it from several different perspectives (horseback, bicycle, raft, bus, hikes, etc.) was amazing. This was our fourth intergenerational program through Road Scholar and, as always, did not disappoint us.

My granddaughter and I enjoyed this adventure immensely. I was proud that I could keep up with her participation in the physical activities (more or less). I think she was happy for the same reason. Intergenerational programs are wonderful for cementing relationships between the generations and building memories that will stay long after the children begin to prefer the company of their peers. The physical and educational activities were spot-on appropriate for children of the designated age group. I highly recommend this program to any grandparent/grandchild "team" who enjoys the out of doors and is in good physical shape. My only criticisms are that the suggested reading list could have been more informative and age-appropriate for the children and that we had had a bit more information about the changeability of the weather (coming from dry, warm southern California, we could have left our shorts at home!).

This program is a combination of a Survival Camp for adults and a Nature Camp for kids. The physical challenges are real, but the staff is prepared to accommodate different levels of ability. Jackson Hole is rich in scenic beauty, and the program offers lots of opportunities for hands-on learning about wildlife and plants. My eleven-year-old grandson loved it, and so did I.

Nancy from San Francisco, CA Number of programs attended: 2

This was a wonderful celebration of my grandson's 10th birthday. Every day was an adventure. We enjoyed everything we did, everything we learned, and everyone we met. It was great to be doing all this in such a new and spectacular setting.
