If you enjoy history you will LOVE this trip. Participants literally walk in the shoes (sandals?) of the ancient Romans. Wonderful educational fun trip!

It was great to see the sites discussed in history and humanities classes! It is easy to get around Rome, and we had fun trying out the local restaurants--lots of good food to enjoy. Be prepared to climb lots of steps---some of them steep and uneven. Enjoy!

This was a WONDERFUL trip. The hotel, the guides, the entire program was in every way what we could have hoped for. In 1969, as a member of the USAF Band, Washington, DC, I played a concert in Rome (at the Baths of Caracalla). I wrote to my bride of one year that I would bring her back to this wonderful place. Road Scholar made this trip everything either of use could have dreamed about (if somewhat late on my part!).

This program offers a top notch educational component. I learned so much! Thank you.

I like to walk! For me, this program fulfilled my needs, i.e, Walking to all of the sites we were scheduled to see; We had the bus only once to go to the Borghese Gardens. I wish we would have had time to take a trip around the gardens. I prefer to walk unless the site is beyond 2-3 miles- then the group would need only people who really like walking.

This was our first Road Scholar trip and we were MORE than satisfied! It was exceptionally well organized. The speakers and guides not only were experts in their area, but they were warm and interesting and encouraged an interchange of ideas. While we found the program food to be only mediocre, we were able to explore other food choices in our free time. We will certainly take another trip!

The trip was rewarding in every respect. Travel companions, RS professionals, hotel accommodations, historical coverage, food, and even the weather. It is all too easy to complain or criticize when one's routine is "tipped" in some way -however slightly. Hard to do on this trip. Though I was not affected, the amount of walking - distance, up, down was probably understated. Very educational and enjoyable.

Fantastic program. Rome is amazing. Biggest disappointment was the crowds at the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Galleries. Hotel location is excellent.

Fabulous and complete tour of Rome with brilliant and engaging guides. Saw everything and more--with "treats" added, like music in a gallery/palazzo, ancient homes. Amazing artwork--unexpected pieces and places. Well-planned; fast-paced. Lost weight frim climbing the hills of Rome, the stairs in the galleries. Great tour. Great people.
