Tour very well done and educational. Highly recommend it, particularly if you have never visited this part of the country.

This experience was just right. I learned a lot but also had time for enjoyment. Mary West was a great group leader and coordinator.

This was wonderful adventure in and around Phoenix. The museums we visited were exceptional. The work and lore of Frank Lloyd Wright was fascinating. The insight into western water issues was valuable. Our leaders were casual, cheerful, and well-prepared.

I truly enjoyed this experience in the city of Phoenix seeing the important and interesting exhibits as well as an extra or two that our Leader took us to see. The last night was a great experience out on a real ranch seeing the sun go down over the dessert with brilliant colors lighting the skies, and the taste of good BBQ food. We all enjoyed singing around the campfire before going back to the hotel.

Road Scholar's visit to Phoenix will give you a whole new view of this city. I had travelled through here before on family and professional visits, but now have a much richer experience of the marvels tucked away in this amazing desert city. Road Scholar knows how to find really interesting places to visit.

This was a most enjoyable program. The destinations were worthwhile, the educational sessions were interesting, and the lodging and food were excellent. Mary Best is an oustanding group leader and we were in very good hands with Lonnie as our driver. The group was congenial and lasting friendships were made.

The program was excellent. We would rank it among the very best of the nine or so Road Scholar programs that we have attended. The visits to the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM), the Botanical Garden, and Taliesin West were outstanding. Also, being in Arizona in February is divine, especially for people like us who live in the Buffalo area. Much of the credit for the success of the program goes to its leader Mary Best. She is a pleasant and very likable person with organizational skills and a good knowledge of the area covered by the program. The driver, Lonnie, was also exceptional, always pleasant, and very helpful. Our group this time was very friendly, interested in everyone and everything. All in all, we enjoyed the program fully and would recommend it to anyone who would like to learn something about a beautiful area in the Southwest. Penny and Fawzi Yaqub

A great program for getting an understanding and appreciation of the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. Rich in content and extremely well led.

Programs included visits to Desert Botanical Garden, Musical Instrument Museum, Talleisin (fanatastic), Phoenix Art Museum. And More. And interesting speakers. Best of all, our leader Mary Best kept track of everyone, the timing, abd arrangements. She's tops. Our bus driver was amazing. Good driver with a sense of humor. Georgia Streett

A truly rejuvenating experience! Phoenix-Scottsdale...with its welcoming sunshine and beauty...made for the perfect backdrop to explore art, culture and desert life. It was an absolute delight to get to know my fellow Road Scholar adventurers and take in the sights and sounds as we shared stories and laughter. The quality of the location, the hotel amenities and food was superb and provided a perfect balance for leisure and learning. Thank you.

An excellent program. Good selection of tour sites. Well organized and well executed.

Rion from Winnetka, CA Number of programs attended: 8
Date attended: 10/19/14 - 10/24/14
Phoenix had a lot more to offer than I had previously thought: Desert Botanical Garden, Arizona Biltmore, the MIM, Heard Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, Taliesin West. Bob, the guide, had a very upbeat personality that was infectious and made the tour especially fun. The guest speakers were very knowledgeable and passed on all the good and bad historical facts. I really enjoyed the talk about the peopling of Arizona over the last several thousand years. As is usual for a Road Scholar group, our fellow participants made this program even more enjoyable. I truly cannot say enough positives about this adventure.

Caroline from Wilson, NC Number of programs attended: 11
Date attended: 03/30/14 - 04/04/14
This program is interesting and informative, but at 82, I found it to be more strenuous than I expected, even though it is described as active. There was a whole lot of walking--outdoor excursions, museums, and in Scottsdale itself. I had to omit some. Still had a good time!

Joanne from Poway, CA Number of programs attended: 22

Even though I use a walker I was able to enjoy all the fieldtrips.
