This was a wonderful trip that allows one to visit several National Parks in a short time, while having enough time in each park to determine if one wishes to return for a longer trip. We are looking to return to Yosemite and Zion of 4-5 days each in the future. We have not traveled with better participants, group leader, local guides and driver than on this trip. I agree that Maswik Cabins need updating, however, I still prefer them if needed to stay on site rather than bus in and out of the park every night.

Wonderful group leader and step on guides. Disappointed in missing Steligman, Arizona (Route 66) and went to Williams instead, no explanation as to why. Drove through a small part of Sequoia National Park when turning around; never actually got off the bus in Sequoia. Maswik Cabins at Grand Canyon were HUGE disappointment. They were filthy, nowhere to plug in anything and cracks in walls between rooms. Would be nice if cleaned and updated a tad. Luckily trip ended in Zion and Bryce where both parks and accommodations were awesome. I booked a moonlight tour on my own at Yosemite. Offered days before full moon. Takes one's breath away and well worth the added cost. BTW if you do make sure you can take night photos before going, I got zero pictures of the Super Moon!

It was a fantastic trip and if it weren't for a simple change the Road Scholar people should do to improve it I would highly it. The meals at the "Food Court" in Yosemite were terrible. I expect Road Scholar people chose the "Food Court" over the "Mountain Room Restaurant" which is in the same facility and is a spectacular place because they saved a few dollars - but I don't think the person who made the decision ever experienced a meal at the "Food Court".

My husband and I just returned from our Road Scholar Program called On the Road: National Parks of the West. What a wonderful program! We were able to visit Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, the Mojave Desert and Victorville, Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon South Rim, Navaho lands and Marble Canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion. What a busy and exciting few weeks! There is no way we could have done all of this by ourselves; but we didn't have to, because Road Scholar provided everything including meals, room accommodations, transportation, activities, and outstanding experts to help along the way. We got to see lovely waterfalls and mind-blowing mountains in Yosemite, giant trees in Sequoia, alien-looking deserts and plant-life in Joshua Tree, condors in the Grand Canyon, painted deserts, hoodoos in Bryce Canyon (as well as a Cowboy band), and inspiring mountains, waterfalls and raptors in Zion. If you want to see and experience some of the most breath-taking National Parks in our nation, this guided trip is for you!
