Exhausting but exhilarating. Great accommodations. Good speakers. Need a second program to include more museums.

Superb! Including The art collections and the Road Scholar participants. We really bonded and it made for a terrific week. The sunshine & palm trees didn't hurt a bit.

A great, packed four days. One could never hit all these outstanding museums and gardens alone. Lectures were very effective in preparing one visiting collections. Peg Steel, the leader, was accessible, well-informed, and perpetually cheerful. I thought the hotel was rather pretentious but the staff was friendly and the vegetarian meals exceptional. Over my protest the front desk insisted on swiping my charge card despite everything being pre-paid by RS and fraudulent charges were placed in the area the same day with the resulting need to cancel/change my account.

It was the best Road Scholar I have attended. Granted it was only my 5th. Loved the museums, the lecturers, the leaders, and the hotel. The rooms were fabulous with great views of the city, and it was superb location. I fell in love with downtown LA. Many fascinating places were within easy walking distance, e.g. the historic Central Library, The Walt Disney Concert Hall and many more. I loved having an in-room safe, coffee maker, and refrigerator. An excellent buffet breakfast was included.

Although I have visited other world class art museums in the US and overseas, I was surprised and delighted to experience and learn about the outstanding offerings found in Los Angeles. Lecturers not only discussed the works of art, but set these museums and collectors in their historical context.

Los Angeles has many great art museums and the Walt Disney performance hall is one of the great buildings in the world. This program makes it easy to visit and learn about the Norton Simon, the Getty, the Huntington museum and gardens, and the Los Angeles County museum of art collections of masterpieces with guidance by local experts, and sharing the company of other art lovers. A great bargain.

The "Art collectors and Their Collections" tour in Los Angeles was well organized and planned, the group leader was experienced, calm and helpful. I enjoyed the museums and gardens at the Huntington the most. Here I am enjoying the waterfall in the Japanese garden. I would not hesitate to join another adventure through Road Scholar.

This was my first trip with RS; I was a bit hesitant about doing a group tour. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed every part of this trip; the people, the museums visited, the food and hotel, the service was excellent. Jill ,the tour leader was wonderful the bus driver was also very good. I will sign up for more trips!

I took the "Art Collectors + Their Collections" tour in L.A. recently and absolutely loved it! Good hotel, wonderful venues and great people. The Getty Center must be seen to be believed; ditto for the Huntington Library + Botanical Gardens. I highly recommend this tour.

My first outing with Road Scholar and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Very nice hotel with terrific breakfast buffet included. Downtown LA more interesting than I expected although eateries near the hotel are limited. Liked the ability to roam at will in the museums after a brief introduction tour. Never enough time to see it all but just right for not being overtired at day's end. Really appreciated the bus driver in the LA traffic so I could relax & enjoy. Wish there was time to include a another day to visit Getty Villa and travel home on Saturday. Excellent RS rate from hotel to hold-over another night. Saved enough airfare by flying Saturday to cover the extra hotel night.

What they say is what you'll get. Hit the road and become a scholar.

This was a very interesting and organized program. Visiting different art museums in LA each of 4 days was possible and enjoyable with Road Scholar. The hotel was very comfortable. The meals were fine, though we had to buy lunches 3 of the 4 days spent at the museums. ( I would prefer to pay enough registration to cover all meals.) But I would certainly recommend this very popular and available program to anyone who loves art museums.

If you are an art lover, sign up for this trip. All the museums are astounding, particularly the Norton Simon and the Getty Center. The speakers were very informative and gave much context to the visit overall.
