ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.

A magical experience for newcomers and visitors returning to Canada. You can't help but be amazed by what you will learn. You will definitely want to return to Canada after this trip!

This program is physically demanding for older people. Future participaqnts should well heed the rating of "moderately challenging" before signing up to participate. Be prepared to deal with strong French accents. You'll enjoy the train ride between Montreal and Quebec City. Limit the program to 20 persons.

Delightful program! Excellent introduction to the history, people, and culture of French Canada. Andree and Sylvie are wonderful group leaders. Their knowledge of the arts, culture, and food will serve you well. Highly recommended.

We had a truly memorable first time Road Scholar experience on this trip! The guides are knowledgeable, professional, very engaging and fun! The hotels were centrally located so we could walk to many attractions, the food far exceeded my expectations and the schedule was just right! I would highly recommend this program!

The guides/leaders were fantastic (Sylvie and Andree). The specific "specialist" were interesting and informative and added very much to the program. What a neat group of people we traveled with; feel like family and we're enjoying the pictures and memories. Would love to travel with the same group again. Matt and Nita

This program is a wonderful experience for the first time Road Scholar as the leaders are warm and supportive. While the culture and language are different, the similarities are sufficient to make a first time explorer feel empowered, safe, and ready to take on the world.

the Montreal and Quebec City independent trip was fantastic. The color tour was an added plus... I now love French Cuisine... oh those pastries.... coming from Michigan it reminded me our early history was tied to French explorers, fur traders, and religious leaders. The tour was well organized. We made many new friends. The Montreal Art Museum was one of the best I have ever seen....

This was my first Road Scholar trip and I was quite pleased. Our leader was fantastic; warm, knowledgable, enthuiastic, energetic, well organized and a patient, clear communicator. I especially enjoyed the mix of learning with a guide or lecturer in the mornings and having time to explore on your own in the afternoons. Another plus to this trip was some very good restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience!
