"The Best of London and Paris" is a program that provides a great mix of planned activities with the option of striking out on one's own independently. I liked that morning events typically included the entire or most of the group. Afternoons had planned activities, but often group members separated and followed special areas of interest such as the Courtauld Gallery in London or the Marmottan Monet Museum in Paris. Having a plan in advance of where you would like to visit or what paintings you would like to see in places such as the Louvre or the National Gallery in London can save time when there is so much to see and to visit. Group leaders were a great help for info on how to get to various locations or for making general suggestions and answering questions. Accomodations were in great locations and group meals were consistently quite good. This trip is a wonderful way to see London and Paris and leave the details to Road Scholar with your own flexibility for visiting special places of interest during the flex times.

Linda and I had a great time because we met a bunch of people that we shared the experience with. One improvement suggestion; have the program attendees participate in planning the trip. How? Send out a questionnaire months prior to departure listing numerous activities, sites etc and have each individual rate them in order of importance and/or add "additionals" to the list. Hard to understand how in London, The Changing of the Guards was not a priority or lunch on the Eiffel Tower. Just one couple's opinion

What a fantastic trip!! It was amazing!! Everyone should have the experience of visiting these historic cities. Our tour guides really made this a memorable trip.

Do this trip!! It was fantastic. My only regret is not book ending a tour before and after these the days. It is such a long trip to Europe and RS helps us plan these "tricks" so well, I will take advantage of that next time. BRAVO to our guides in both cities.

This was my 3rd trip with Road Scholar, and again I was not disappointed. The planning was seamless, the tour guides knowledgeable, and the meals excellent and plentiful. The pace was hectic, but participants could always opt out of an activity. Yes, we walked a great deal but it was worth every step on the uneven pavements and endless underground stairs. I'll take another Road Scholar tour in a heartbeat.

I had postponed my trip across the pond in my 20's and was able to fulfill my lifelong dream of seeing London and Paris in my 60's. Thank you to everyone at Road Scholar for making this the experience of a lifetime!

This trip to London and Paris was a gift to me from my sister. It was one of the highlights of my life. I can't thank her or Roads Scholar for an experience I can relive and share for many years to come. Truely a dream come true

I enjoyed this program and the way that the leaders connected the political and social events that were occurring at the time the works of art were being created. Making these connections helps to understand why they are so important to us now.

This tour provides for independent exploration of two great European cities. Fitness is a must because of challenging Metro stairs and hours of walking. Transportation support is excellent in London and Tube us conveniently located near hotel. Paris was a bit difficult because transportation guidance was limited. I purchased hop on/hop off bus tours in both cities. This allowed me great photo ops and complete tour of all sites.

I thought the program contained the right mix of guided touring and free time to explore those sights that appealed to each individual. The French and English tour leaders were knowledgeable, considerate, patient and displayed great senses of humor. The English food was much better than expected considering their reputation for just basic faire. As expected, the French food served to us was great. My only negative was that the instructions for meeting the bus at Heathrow were very ambiguous. The "Hotel By Bus" is a specific location in the airport but was not indicated in the literature. However, when informed of our confusion, our London tour leader rescued us quickly.

Overall experience was terrific---but MP3 device at the Louvre wasted our time, as we couldn't find what was being described. Wisper device was excellent.

This trip is a great way to visit both London and Paris and to have seamless arrangements for the Eurostar taken care of by Road Scholar. Be ready to do a lot of walking. The group leaders and guides were excellent, and both hotels were in good locations. The time went too fast!
