A terrific program. Make sure you have comfortable shoes, good knees, a hat for the sun, binoculars to look at stained glass windows and architectural detail You'll do a lot of walking and climbing up and down steps using the Metro so I'm not kidding about the knees.

A wonderful opportunity for a group of teens (and grandparents) to bond and learn together -- a great experience that I hope to eventually share with my other grandchildren.

My grandson and I had a fabulous time exploring Paris! Interesting, fun sites to see, rich history and great opportunities to try new foods and the best guides ever--Caroline and Louis! Incredibly knowledgeable, with a sense of humor and they relate well to the teens. I highly recommend this trip for anyone who wants to open the world of travel to their grandchild! You will not be disappointed.

Great leaders, interesting program, I would recommend to anyone.

I'm so happy I took my grandson on this trip. He loved it. I loved it. And we both learned so much from our dynamic guide Frederic, a gifted teacher and story teller. It was wonderful to hear vignettes from World War II, WW I, the French Revolution, various kings and their plots and so on right where they happened. Fred also gave us enlightening introductions to the art and artists we encountered. My grandson, who also enjoyed being with the other teens on the trip, couldn't have "discovered" Paris in a better way.

Our program leaders, Penny Old and Frederick were outstanding. Penny with her organizational skills and Frederick with his French history and ability to truly connect with the kids are what made this trip a success. However, for us grandparents, the amount of walking and stair climbing was a bit much. Some taxi rides were taken back to the hotel rather than face the long walk and metro stairs back to the hotel.

Our program leader, Frederic, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and entertaining and we truly "did" Paris thoroughly. The food was fantastic. But my knee is complaining loudly--all those stairs (many in the Metro), cobblestones, and marble for miles every day did a number on it. You might want a walking stick!

My hope was to introduce our grandchildren to Paris in an intelligible way. Our guide very successfully brought history, art and culture to life. The young ones could also see that everyone uses public transportation and that young and old can mix well. But the grandparents must know that this was five miles of walking almost daily in the heat of July. Or maybe knowing that ahead will discourage folks from doing what they thought they could not do.

This was a wonderful trip -- perfect for the teenage g'kids -- interesting for the g'parents. Great agenda, wonderful guide, Paris splendid. However, Francis hits on a major flaw -- we were badly misinformed about the amount of walking and stair climbing. Wake up, RoadScholar!! Five of the twelve g'parents wore FitBits -- they knew exactly how far we walked and how many stairs we climbed. Your "...two miles per day..." was nonsense. The first four days we walked 4.5 to 5.5 miles per day -- on the fifth day 6.5 miles -- on the sixth day over 7 miles. On one day we climbed 17 flights of stairs (mostly in the Metro). Mind you, the sights and scenes were wonderful -- but the distances and stairs were unexpected and quite hard on the g'parents. There were frequent dropouts and taxi rides back to the hotel when the older people couldn't make that additional mile walking. I strongly recommend this trip -- but RoadScholar, please give us a more accurate description of the activity level.

Do not take this program unless you are prepared to spend considerable time on foot walking to and from Metro stops. There is more time spent walking than is actually spent visiting museums, galleries, restaurants, and the like.

This Grandparent/teen program was well beyond expectation both for me and my 15 yr. old granddaughter. The group was full of neat kids and interested grown ups, the guides were unbelievably knowledgable and fun, the variety of activity was perfect, and we saw the very best of Paris. Our accommodations were in a great location, the meals superb at great restaurants. Perfect!!

We highly recommend Road Scholar's Intergenerational program to the City of Lights. The outstanding guides, program itinerary and the attention to detail make Paris come alive.
