This was an fun trip. Benny Beattie is an excellent guide who really knows the Tadoussac area well. We had a wonderful walking tour of Quebec with Stephen before we departed for Tadoussac. Benny put together a great itinerary that gave us lots of information about the whales and the local habitat as well as local history. We saw Beluga and Minke whales both from the boat and the shore (including right in front of the hotel). This was our first Road Scholar trip and we loved it!!

You'll love this trip. It takes you to a very beautiful part of North America and you might be lucky to see whales in their natural habitat as we did. An extra bonus is an amazing guide, Benny Beattie, who truly loves and is dedicated to the preservation of the animals and the plants in this unspoiled place that he calls home.

A wonderful experience! Great group leader, very nice hotels, good food, and new friends! In one day we viewed four species of whales: 30 Beluga, 3 Minke, 2 Humpback, and a Blue whale; also 80 grey seals. Day two included Fin Whales as well!

Terry from Annapolis, MD Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 06/22/14 - 06/28/14
An excellent experience for those interested in the animals, history, geology and people of French Canada. The whales and the marine reserve are the signature part of this trip, but you will be continually interested and entertained by the other experiences, food, people and especially by Benny. Be prepared to walk, climb and negotiate rocks, however.

This was my first Road Scholar trip and it was everything and MORE than I expected. I loved the sights, learning, food, museums, whale watching, and the extremely knowledgable guide, Benny Beatty. I learned so much and had a wonderful time! Thanks Road Scholar!
