I loved this program;it was a wonderful tour where learning the Native American culture and history was forever ongoing, and in particular, the Hopi and Navajo culture and history. It was really like going to a Native American's home as a guest and discovering their life style, background and beliefs. The tour through Canyon De Chelly, Monument Valley, the Hopi ancestral village(900 AD), the Hopi and Navajo reservations were incredible. Thank you so much for the pottery and jewelry demonstration as well as the traditional Native American foods/meals(yummy). There was so much that was seen and done on this tour, it would be impossible to list it all. Thanks so much to the tour guides for this phenomenal experience.

This educational program included beautiful landscapes, interesting people, native foods to sample, greater awareness of history and so much more. We have a new knowledge of the Hopi and Navajo people.

Having an opportunity to learn about the culture and current life on both the Hopi and Navajo reservation was a gift that I won't forget. The excursions offered beautiful scenery mixed with cultural education. Could not ask for more.

This program was well organized and led. Our Road Scholar guides were well informed and provided interesting educational presentations and information. The accommodations and transportation were good. The distances between locations makes for long van rides, but that is to be expected in this rather remote location of the country. I went on this trip specifically to see Canyon de Chelly and was not disappointed.

This gentle trip increased my understanding of native American cultures including cuisine and let us feel the beauty and expanse of their home land.

A very interesting and informative view of the Hopi and Navajo culture. Seeing the beauty of their land, Canyon de Chelly and hearing their stories gave me a deep appreciation of their history. The Monument Valley tour was breathtaking - an exceptional view of one of the icons of The West.

I have a much better appreciation and understanding of the history, culture and beliefs of the Hopi and Navajo people. In addition, the beauty of the Canyon and Monument Valley make this one of the best programs around.

Diane from Seattle, WA Number of programs attended: 9
Date attended: 10/18/14 - 10/24/14
This program more than met my expectations, gave me a richer experience of Navaho/Hopi land/life and AZ than if I had gone by myself. I was enriched by other participants. I highly recommend this program.
