Road Scholar
Program #19280RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Our trip to Charleston exceeded our expectations! It is the best way to learn its heritage and history, cook and eat like a Southerner. Y'all will love the program! Southern hospitality at its best when you travel the streets of Charleston with Road Scholar.

My husband and I both recently retired. The Charleston Culinary Tour was our first Road Scholar trial. Charleston is a charming city and we enjoyed the cuisine, culture, history and planned activities. We had time on our own to explore museums, house tours, parks of interest and one evening of dining at a restaurant of our choice. We met some wonderful people from all over the USA. This trip more than met our hopes and expectations and we plan more domestic and overseas trips in the future.

Barbara from Disputanta, VA Number of programs attended: 7

Do not miss this one! It is a dream week for all 'foodies'; wear the 'loose' jeans and comfortable shoes and you will enjoy every minute.
