We had never been to San Francisco so it made sense to attend this program which led into The Call of the Last Frontier program on the Grand Princess. We had a wonderful time although we discovered 3 days far too little time to get in some of the things we would have liked. There were only 7 participants and we got along famously and enjoyed each other's company very much. John, our coordinator, was very personable and some excellent guides had been lined up for us, as well. Some highlights of this program were: Boudin's for dinner the first night---delicious halibut, yummy sour dough bread and a sinful dessert platter for the table to share; an excursion to Muir Woods---breathtaking and possibly above expectations; a trip to Alcatraz---interesting with LOTS of walking. Most criticisms would not be serious enough to mention. We did feel it was quite pricey for a 3-day program, probably due to staying in a hotel so close to Fisherman's Wharf.
