EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

The destinations were surprisingly unique for this area and the two night stays for each lodging were a good idea. Very, very disappointed in the food, especially the lack of offering for the one local dish that was at a low, low market price: lobster. This is NOT good.

This was a great program with excellent instructors and leaders and the most beautiful foliage you can imagine! Had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

I just completed a 10 day Road Scholar tour entitled "On the Road: The Best Fall Foliage in New England." It was great. I feel I am on the "younger end" of senior citizens, and our group included members from 65 to 91, but it was a small group and the participants were all friendly and delightful. We had a wonderful time together. The Program itself was well designed, informative, and varied and made most beneficial by our wonderful leader, Betsy Bates. She was the best. Also, our bus driver, Jeff, was so accommodating, helpful and a good driver too! I highly recommend this Tour.

The quality of the coach driver should be included in the evaluation. We found both of ours to be quite skilled, however.

This was my first trip to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Outstanding!!!!!

One simply could not ask for a more varied and interesting educational travel experience. Highlights included colorful autumn foliage, art and history museums, the rocky coast of Maine and cheese making, apple tasting and stone fence building in Vermont. There were clam chowder comparisons to be made, lobster traps to be emptied, weather stations and light houses to be visited and we even learned how folks kept warm in the Old North Church. Busy, active days... a good amount of free time built in... coach rides that never seemed "too long"... convivial travel companions... pleasant accommodations and delicious food. Who could ask for more?
