This was my first program and it won't be my last. If you like outdoor activities this is for you. Very adventurous and yet had some very personal aspects. Never a dull moment! Accommodations and food were great.

This adventure to South Island of New Zealand will widen your horizons of the beauty of the country. The varied geography -landscape with its incredible contrasts is a must to experience. It is a trip that will challenge any preconceived ideas you might have had about New Zealand.

John Jordan and his wife Margaret were excellent group leaders. They were very open and welcoming and provided personal insight to each area and activity. All activities were well planned and appropriate for the group. Any possible "problems" were handled deftly with grace and were not perceived as problems. Highest regards for their leadership.

We had an perfectly fantastic time on our 3-16 March South Island New Zealand adventure! We were blessed with lovely weather, and the best tour guides you could imagine. Pauline and Brien Mahoney were our fabulous leaders. They made us feel welcome, secure, informed, entertained & enlightened the entire trip. They turned us into hikers, bikers, white water rafters, horse back riders, kayakers....they enlightened us on New Zealand culture, history, geology, geography, government, until I felt quite at home in this distant but ever so hospitable land, with folks I fell in love with. And not to forget Robby, our great bus driver who added spice to each day with his jovial manner and stories. Wish I could do it all over again. Memories made will never be forgotten. This ranks at the top of all the many trips I've taken. Thank you Mahoney's, & Road Scholar, for making this trip available. God Bless!

Magnificant adventure!!! Words cannot describe the endless beauty of New Zealand. John and Margarent Jordan were fantastic guides. I loved every minute and it was definitely "moderately challenging". I, also, highly recommend this trip for the active traveler.

Fabulous active adventure trip. On the go everyday hiking, biking, rafting, horse-back riding or wine tasting; we did it all! Excellent guides leading us through this beautiful country in its springtime splendor. A highly recommended trip for the active traveler.

It was wonderful having spring flowers, baby lambs in the green fields and the lushness of new growth everywhere. The fresh snow on the mtn. made for an even more dramatic landscape. I would definitely recommend this adventure in the spring, just come prepared for changeable weather!

I absolutely had the BEST time on this program! I loved being outdoors and moving every day. I thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of the group leaders, John and Margaret, as well as the other program participants. The country is beautiful and I am so glad I saw NZ this way. I still see the fields of mustard, rivers and gorges, frolicking lambs, and mossy forests in my mind. Wonderful memories!

This program was fabulous! We had a very energetic and physical program, and we loved it! The program leaders were very knowledgeable and kept the pace up. This was not the "tourist" kind of vacation, this was getting to know nature up close and personal!
