EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

A great Program that gives you a wonderful view of Glacier. Well worth the week investment of time.

This is an outstanding program, especially if you like the great outdoors and the opportunity to walk/hike in one of the most beautiful places in the US.

Glacier National Park is an experience everyone should have. Here is the Continental Divide; here are U.S. glaciers, alas fast disappearing; here are mountains most awesome; ane here are lakes, so blue, sometime sort of greenish, and so restful.

This is a spectacular part of our country, the leaders/guides were outstanding, accommodations were excellent and the train (Amtrak's Empire Builder) trip to Whitefish added greatly to the unique experience.

The beauty of Glacier National Park is outstanding. The overall program was excellent - the lectures and hiking choices fulfilled all my expectations for another wonderful Road Scholar experience.

The Crown of the Continent is fantastic. This was a good overview of Glacier, animal behavior, and how climate change is affecting our parks. Enjoyed every day!

Date attended: 08/04/13 - 08/10/13
The landscape at Glacier NP is amazing and beautiful. Each day there were three levels of hiking based on distance and altitude change to choose from. This was a wonderful feature that allowed us to decide each day what activity level we each wanted.

Donna from Wheat Ridge, CO Number of programs attended: 5

I thoroughly enjoyed my program. The scenery is beautiful and I enjoyed the hiking. I really enjoy visiting national parks. The condo was very nice and the secure underground parking was a plus. The instructors were very knowledgeable and tried to make the program as enjoyable as possible. I am now friends on Facebook with one of the leaders and two of the participants.

This is a wonderful introduction to the park and the area. We had been to Glacier several times before as campers but have never had the in-depth exposure to the park that this program provided. The instructors were outstanding and their field knowledge impressive.

This was a wonderful trip! The program, the leaders, even the weather exceeded my expectations. The participants were friendly, lots of fun and most helpful. Great memories!

This program was one of the best US programs we have attended. It was well organized and all instructors were well prepared. The accommodations were excellent and the scenery couldn't be better.

Sue from Indianapolis, IN Number of programs attended: 6

Every program we've attended has been an adventure for us, with never a disappointment. Knowledgeable instructors, cordial and organized leaders, programs beyond our expectations, and very interesting fellow travelers. We love Road Scholar!

Becky from Radcliff, KY Number of programs attended: 1

The accomodations are lovely but very far from the park...long driving distances most days...and one could not hear the speaker at all if sitting in the back of the van. If you want good food, you will NOT get it on this trip! It was very bland and no choices at all. We had a new and very inexperienced trip leader. Our program presenters were GREAT! Overall, we loved this area of Montana but felt this was a very weak trip.

Karen from Forest Park, IL Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 07/08/12 - 07/14/12
This trip was wonderful! Ed Leiser was an amazing leader. He's laid back, and has a passion for what he does. He loves to share his knowledge, as did all the instructors on this trip. The accomodations were very nice. It was great to stay in one place all week. My only complaint on this trip is the food and the dining area. The food was done as inexpensively as possible. Also, it should NOT be indicated that vegetarian is an option. Ed and Mully's has no idea what vegetarian fare is. They can barely make a half-way decent "regular" meal - although the salad was good! The dining area reportedly is ready to be torn down, and you'll see why! All in all a great trip but it costs a fortune to fly to Kalispell, so stay a while longer if you can afford the time. There's plenty to see!

I did find it interesting that this is the only trip I've been on that did not give us an evaluation to complete at the end. ??

Road Scholar's response:
Instead of issuing the on-site evaluation, we now send the evaluation directly from our headquarters. If you provided an email address, you will receive the program evaluation via email. If not, it will be sent to your home address.
