Exploring Glacier National Park is an ideal program for someone who has always wanted to visit this gem, and the fine accommodations at Whitefish Mountain provide access to key features of the park as well as a rich perspective on local culture and vistas from the area just west of the park. An amazing value!

Carol from Saint Paul, MN Number of programs attended: 6
Date attended: 08/24/14 - 08/30/14
The group leader and presenters were all experts in their fields and all were excellent communicators. This program had more educational content than some other Road Scholar programs I have attended, and was also very relaxed and enjoyable. Hikers were grouped according to ability level. However, be aware that hiking on mountain trails is more challenging than walking on paved trails or city streets.

If you want to experience the beauty and Eco-system of the Glacier National Park, and enjoy hiking this is the trip for you

Priscilla from Oro Valley, AZ Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 08/10/14 - 08/16/14
This was an informative program, which gives you far more insight into the beauty and nature of one of America's most beautiful parks. It helps you understand and appreciate the geology, flora and fauna of what you see on each hiking experience more meaningful and thus gives an achievement in adventure.

Patricia from San Mateo, CA Number of programs attended: 1

Patricia from San Mateo, CA Number of programs attended: 1 Date attended: 07/13/14 - 07/19/14 This was a wonderful first experience; the landscape was unbelievably awesome! The guides were excellent! Our group guide, Paul, went beyond duty to make sure we were all happy. The accommodations were excellent! Food was good.

Ira from Land O Lakes, FL Number of programs attended: 2
Date attended: 07/13/14 - 07/19/14
We had a great time. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the area. And kept us very busy, they knew right where to go away from the crowds. They did a good job accommodating different capabilities. would go again, and highly recommend this program.

Marge from Indianapolis, IN Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 07/13/14 - 07/19/14
The mountains were beautiful, the leaders knowledgeable, and the food very good. I enjoyed the trip but i think i would have enjoyed staying inside the park more. We had van drive of two hrs or more each day to reach our destination. That was tiring for me even tho scenery was exceptional. Three people on my van saw a wolverine at Logan Pass. Wow!

Betsy from Portland, ME Number of programs attended: 2
Date attended: 07/13/14 - 07/19/14
This Road Scholar program in Montana was everything I have come to appreciate about Road Scholar trips. The beauty of the mountains and the pleasant leaders combined to make it memorable. Betsy

Olive from Reading, PA Number of programs attended: 13
Date attended: 07/13/14 - 07/19/14
The program was excellent, however, we were just a little too late in years to fully keep up the activity and hope we did not hinder anyone else's enjoyment of the entire "Grandeur of Glacier". Go, if you can.

Edward from Rock Hill, SC Number of programs attended: 5

John from Moraga, CA Number of programs attended: 18

Glacier National Park is an experience everyone should have. Here is the Continental Divide; here are U.S. glaciers, alas fast disappearing; here are mountains most awesome; ane here are lakes, so blue, sometime sort of greenish, and so restful.

Edmund from Durham, NC Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 09/08/13 - 09/14/13
This is a spectacular part of our country, the leaders/guides were outstanding, accommodations were excellent and the train (Amtrak's Empire Builder) trip to Whitefish added greatly to the unique experience.

Diana from Adkins, TX Number of programs attended: 1

Jane from Overland Park, KS Number of programs attended: 12

The Crown of the Continent is fantastic. This was a good overview of Glacier, animal behavior, and how climate change is affecting our parks. Enjoyed every day!

Sharon from Carmichael, CA Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 08/04/13 - 08/10/13
The landscape at Glacier NP is amazing and beautiful. Each day there were three levels of hiking based on distance and altitude change to choose from. This was a wonderful feature that allowed us to decide each day what activity level we each wanted.
