This was our first Road Scholar trip, and it won't be our last. We had the time of our life digging for Dugway Geodes, Topaz, Jaspers, Agates, Wonderstones, and our favorite, Trilobites! Everything was well organized, the itinerary was fun-filled and our every need was accommodated thanks to Gary, Sandy and Preston Nielsen! We recommend this field trip to anyone who loves adventure and the great outdoors. The Rockhounder's Dream Program was fun, adventurous, exciting and educational! Looking forward to our next Road Scholar Excursion! Pat and Janet

Been on at least 10 Road Scholar trips and Gary was the best leader. Every detail was taken care of. Never had to worry where the rest room was, he took it with us. Also carried table, chairs, lunch and drinks. Obtained nice collection of trilobites, topaz, Dugway geodes, agates and jasper. Never a boring moment. Would highly recommend this tip to geologists or amateurs.

If you're interested in rocks and looking for adventure, then this program is for you. My husband and I had a great time. Gary and Sandy were great leaders. They were experienced, organized, friendly and accommodating. We were busy learning and doing the whole time. We visited out-of-the -way quarries, and dug for interesting and beautiful rocks. I would highly recommend this program to my friends who love the outdoors.

This was a wonderful trip. It was so well planned and Sandy & Gary were extremely well organized. We didn't have to worry about anything. We got to visit mines that are not normally open to the public.

An excellent leader.A well planned and interesting program with many activities. Enjoyed the Field Trips to rock sites impossible to visit on my own. Best Road Scholar Trip I ever took.

This program far exceeded my expectations. It was a great value for the money. Gary & Sandy are excellent, experienced leaders. They planned for everything to include a Port-a-Potty on a trailer, rockhounding tools, bags for our finds, snacks, drinks, gloves, and much more. I learned a lot about rocks and minerals. Lecture/demonstration on mining and using beryllium was outstanding . . . I had no idea of the many uses for the metal. Great program, great leaders, best example of an outstanding hands-on Road Scholar program!

I would highly recommend this program for both new and experienced rockhounders. Information received was helpful and educational. Field trips were very enjoyable and productive. Group leaders were well-organized and planned every detail for the participants' comfort from the port-a-potty, daily drinks and snacks, to the tools needed for the field trips. Best group leaders on any Road Scholar program I have attended!

What a wonderful program! The leaders took care of every logistical detail, including the excellent connections/services of the Bug House. The pace was just right, the rocks and fossils were beautiful and the participants were eager to help, especially with the road hazard. We highly recommend the program.

This was an excellent program. The leaders were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and well prepared. We were able to hunt for rocks/gems in locations that were otherwise inaccessible to most people. The participants were very pleasant.
