I enjoyed this trip immensely. The information shared by local experts was a vital part of this trip that would have been impossible to arrange on my own. I appreciated learning from so many knowledgeable people. The music, rug hooking, history and variety of talented people we met and places we explored were key to the value of participating in the program. We found the food wonderful and the freedom from driving to be two big bonuses! Susan was effective as group leader and Dale the bus driver certainly knows how to drive that bus where few others could manage. Kudos to them both!

Great things come in small packages--in this case, Canada's Maritime provinces provide a tremendous amount of history, geology, and culture. This Road Scholar program provides a splendid overview from Anne of Green Gables to fisheries to Gaelic step dancing!

A wonderful trip! Susan was very knowledgeable, helpful and very organized. My husband and I agreed we never would have been able to do that trip on our own (as we tried to plan two years previously). We learned so much and had a wonderful time. Costly- but worth every penny.

Excellent overview of the Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia history, culture, geography and food. Well prepared and informative presentations. Excellent group leader..approachable and knowledgeable. We had a medical emergency that our group leader handled very well. Would recommend to anyone with a curiosity about this far corner of Canada.

This was a bucket list trip for me and my bucket was filled with delight. We drove all the way from New Mexico and it was worth every mile. Hint: If you go in the summer for one of your free nights in Baddeck, have your guide make reservations for you at St. Michael's Parrish Hall Ceilidh. Cape Breton is known for its fiddlers. This event fills up and you won't get in without a reservation.

Loved seeing 3 different landscapes from lovely farms in PEI to hillier evergreen country in Nova Scotia capped with breathtaking views up high on the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, all while glimpsing the water all around in various forms. The seafood was icing on the cake - I had some every day! Our leader, Arleigh, was full of knowledge and fun. There were flowers everywhere as everyone took pride in their homes or hometowns. The organic farm visit, lighthouses and music were special highlights. A nod to our group who were brilliant, as the British say, and to the guest speakers who made the area and history come alive. What a great trip! Holly
