Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands need to be seen in order to fully appreciate their extraordinary history and place in our world. The nature guides on the ship were superb. The ship provides actively levels for the very energetic and average energetic person. The trip is arduous in terms of keeping track of which items you need to take with you for each outing. The layover times between some flights are really unfortunate but probably cannot be helped and leaving at midnight or at 6 am is not fun but is the price you pay for traveling to such exotic and rarefied places. Overall, it was an exceptionally wonderful experience.

Such an outstanding experience! The trip went beyond expectations. Staff, accommodations, and activities were fun and informative. We are staying in touch with some of those in our group and hope to plan another trip together.

ROZ FROM DELRAY BEACH FLORIDA, THIS TRIP WAS A DREAM COME TRUE. I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO MACHU PICHU AND THE GALAPAGOS. THE OTHER PEOPLE IN OUR GROUP WERE GREAT AND WE ALL GOT ALONG WONDERFULLY WELL. VICTOR OUR TOUR GUIDE AND OUR LOCAL GUIDES WERE TERRIFIC. NO QUESTIONS WENT UNANSWERED. THE PLACES WE WENT TO WERE OUTSTANDING. THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC BOAT AND ALL THE NATURALISTS WERE WONDERFUL THERE WASN'T A BAD THING TO SAY ABOUT ANYTHING ON THIS TRIP. EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING WERE TERRIFIC.

Such a fantastic excursion! Everything about it was exceptional...the well thought out details and implementation of those details by Victor, our program director, my 14 travel companions (of course we were joined by more once we arrived on the Endeavor), the accommodations and food, one really could go on and on. This was my first Road Scholar trip and first venture to South America and I am fairly confident that it will not be my last! Machu Picchu and the Galapagos were great places to begin!

This was our first Road Scholar tour and we enjoyed it immensely! It was our first South American venture and both Machu Picchu and the Galapogas Islands have been "bucket list" destinations for many years. We found the trip fun, educational, affordable and truly a memorable experience. Tour leaders Victor and Miluska and the NG Endeavor Expedition Leader and staff were exceptional. Victor was with us cor the entire 2 week adventure and made our trip a wonderfully well organized trip. It was an exceptional experience and I highly recommend Road Scholar and this tour.

Best trip I have ever been on - hands down. Not only were we taken care of by Victor C. every step of the way with the details to help make the program run smoothly, but he also shared his love for his country with us. In addition, our tour guide, Miluska, in Peru had the ability to make Inca history come alive. The trip on the National Geographic Endeavor was so informative with the naturalists that took the time to share the life of the islands with us - no question was left unanswered. The ship's programs and day-to-day activities were fantastic. Victor C. continued to make the Road Scholar participants be a "family" group while allowing us to branch off interacting with the National Geographic participants to make this trip well worth it! I will certainly entertain going again with Road Scholar.

I was thrilled at how well we were taken care of every step of the way through 2 countries and the Galapagos, which has their own restrictions. Everyone - from the tour guide, the bus drivers, the hotel personnel, the ship staff, to the naturalists and local guides - were wonderful to us, helping us in every way needed. Traveling as a single, I felt secure and safe, as well as part of a well organized tour group. Kudos to Road Scholar for designing the trip and providing the right people to guide us! I have no qualms about traveling to other far flung destinations with Road Scholar.

Five enthusiastic stars. The program was better than I ever thought. The Galapagos part exceeded even my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of going there. The ship was perfect. Beautiful ship, beautiful and helpful staff and beautiful equipment to study the environment. I was totally satisfied.

This turned out to be the most incredible trip I had ever been on. I knew I wanted to go to both Machu Picchu and the Galapagos before I died, and I was ecstatic to see both offered on this Road Scholar tour. I was a single lady travelling on my own and was a bit worried about that, but as it turned out, there were six of us single ladies on this tour. Everyone on the tour was friendly and inclusive. The tour guides were wonderful and knowledgeable. The sites I saw in Peru were breathtaking and I won't forget the closeness of the wildlife in the Galapagos. Seven days on the National Geographic Endeavour was an experience I will never forget - great staff, great food, great ambiance.

It was a wonderful trip, not one to take if you wish to relax. You are on the go constantly even on the cruise portion. The animals in the Galapagos were so fascinating. The Inca ruins were interesting.
