I thoroughly enjoyed the lectures and field trips concerning the history of Niagra Falls and the area. Learning about the Underground Railroad, hydroelectric power, the forts, cemeteries, carousel museum, Niagara-on-the-Lake, etc. was most interesting and enjoyable. Having lunch at the top of the Skylon Tower was fantastic for its views of the Falls. I especially enjoyed having the free time to go exploring in Niagara Falls State Park and across to Canada several times for taking photos during the day and night. What a wonderful variety of activities and entertainment in one of the world's most popular destinations!

We were pleased with all aspects of the program. It was well organized; the activities were educational and appealing; the instructors were well prepared and engaging; and other participants were welcoming and interesting. Kathy and Saul Axelrod, Elkins Park Pennsylvania

Julia from Oakwood, GA Number of programs attended: 5

The trip was centered around Niagara Falls, but it included geographical features, geology, the Welland Canal, the underground railroad, Native American influence, wine tasting, and shopping. In addition, my friend and I visited other sites nearby: the Erie Canal and Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls, NY. It was a great trip.

This is an excellent educational program as well as fun. The Stella Niagara Center for Renewal is delightful. The program offers a great deal of variety and is never boring. I think it should be listed as closer to moderate activity however.

The Niagara program was a blast. We made new friends from the present as well as previous time zones. Part of the fun was exploring old things like the Underground Railroad and new ways our culture uses the power of water today. Great leadership!

I attended this program the third week of September, a perfect time to visit that part of the country! We had a number of great experiences including a visit to Old Fort Niagara where we were able to view the foot print of the classical star shape of the fortification - an aspect totally lost when viewing a fort from ground level. Both side of the Falls were lovely - the US side for its natural beauty state and the Canadian side for its tasteful development A great thrill on the Canadian side was our luncheon in the Skylon Tower which provided breath-taking views of both side during the hour-long rotation of its rooftop restaurant. I had become interested in the Underground Railroad after reading a fiction series set in Seneca Falls< NY, an important junction on the Railroad. It was a real privilege to get to see an actual way station at Murphy Orchards.
