If you haven't visited St. Pete for ages, you're in for a pleasant surprise. The Dali museum is a must see and if you can get Adele as your docent you'll be in excellent hands. Restaurants are quite good and the glass art at the Chihuly museum is a must see. With Kai Warren as your guide you'll look at St.Pete buildings in a whole new light - including the old Post Office. The Fine Arts Museum has a wonderful collection and I never got the feeling that I was being followed around by security guards. The Holocaust Museum is worth visit as well. If you're a baseball fan, there's "The Trop" - Tropicana Field - where tickets are usually available on short notice. Note: It's an indoor field--that Florida sun can be awfully hot! The "Looper" trolley will take seniors around for a mere $.25--be sure to take it at night as well but operates late only on weekends. The Pier is closed but plans are in the works for renovating the deteriorating pier, and eventually to build a new building at the end - perhaps similar to the inverted pyramid that exists today which people like.

My husband and I are fond of "Signature Cities" and this ranks with the best. Evelyn Moorefield is an outstanding leader, our hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to major attractions, and we enjoyed all aspects of the program.
