I enjoyed every minute of this program, which included not only the Barnes Collection, but other art treasures in Philly as well. Another highlight was the concert by the famed Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra. If you love fine arts, don't miss this one!

Philadelphia and the Barnes was a wonderful program. The Barnes Museum is a treasure and it is so interesting to see great art in such a different setting. The Philadelphia Art Museum was grand as well.

This was a wonderful few days with visits to the major museums listed above with good docent tours & special Impressionists/Paul Durand-Ruel exhibit. It was good to have 2 separate times at the Barnes. Especially good was the coach tour of urban sculpture & Rodin with John Gianotti. CC from Gainesville, FL

The Art Tour in Philadelphia provided an interesting and informative trip which increased my enjoyment of the work of the Impressionists. The museum guides were a major factor in our successful trip. Road Scholar has provided me with yet another trip that has satisfied my desire to travel to interesting cities and appreciate what they have to offer.

A great awakening to a beautiful city well known for its historical significance but also filled with great art and architecture and civic pride. The Barnes should not be missed - the man, the collection and the controversy are fascinating

This is an excellent opportunity to explore and learn about art in Philadelphia. A highlight was visiting the new Barnes Museum, as well as the outstanding Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, the Rodin Museum and the Philadelphia Art Museum. We also enjoyed musical performances at the Curtis Institute and by the Philadelphia Symphony, as well as several elegant dinners.

This was one of the best organized and executed programs I have ever attended at Road Scholar. The instructors (Docents) were most knowledgeable, courteous, interesting and thorough in carrying out the educational aspects of the program. The food and eating arrangements were superior.

Nancy from Murrysville, PA Number of programs attended: 1

This program exceeded my expectations. I wanted to learn more about art. I did, but more importantly, I was inspired by my fellow participants who showed a real zest for art. travel, and life! Made many new friends and learned a lot. Creature comforts were excellent. Loved the Hyatt at the Bellevue. It was charming and in a great location. Enjoyed Philadelphia and especially the Barnes and the vault at PAFA. Meals were outstanding including the buffet breakfast at the hotel. I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.
