ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This was my second Road Scholar program and I thought nothing could top the program I took last year(Culinary Escape on Beautiful Passamaquoddy Bay - which I highly recommend), but Acadia National Park did not disappoint! Glenn Tucker, our tour coordinator, Sarah, our delightful tour guide, and our driver Scott, did everything to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The passion and enthusiasm of each of our knowledgeable presenters was absolutely contagious, and the beauty of Acadia Nat'l Park is beyond words. We took walking tours of Bar Harbor and Somes, heard talks on the history of the island and formation of the park, the fauna and flora of the area, quarrying and lobstering, the Native Americans and the "rusticators," and we toured all over the island. What a wonderful introduction to Acadia - I can't wait to explore this beautiful area of our country again in the future.
