ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

The program, "Looking on the Bright Side...", held at the YMCA Lodge near Potosi, MO, was exactly what we were looking for, and met our expectations quite nicely. Program leaders were knowledgeable and made the program quite enjoyable, and fellow attendees also contributed to the overall experience. Overall, the venue and food were good; however, having hearing-assistive devices available would have been helpful.

This program was the best I have attended. It certainly lived up to its title in a most delightful way.

Robert from Columbia, MO Number of programs attended: 27
Date attended: 10/12/14 - 10/17/14
The "easy" rating was accurate. It was easy to navigate the lodge where we were staying and the field trip was also "easy".

This program is low key but is absolutely not dull.

Julie from Chino, CA Number of programs attended: 6

We had a lovely time, had beautiful views and we did as little or as much as we wanted.

Jill from Lenexa, KS Number of programs attended: 11
Date attended: 05/11/14 - 05/16/14
The instructors did a great job engaging everyone in this light-hearted delightful program. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful location for walking. My husband & I normally attend more active programs, but this was a trip for my Mom. It did not disappoint either of us. We are considering repeating this program in the future.

This program "Looking on the Bright Side" did JUST that . . I was subjected to a delightful woman with a wealth of knowledge of books, plus the long forgotten child in me was brought out with stories, games and puzzles. Also I was reminded by a skilled musical craftsman with untapped talent of long forgotten music and the joy it brings. I feel like I came away with many new additions to my family.

Before attending this delightful program, I looked at the Trout Lodge website and decided to stay several additional days to take advantage of the facility. I'm glad that I did, and enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, and arts and crafts - especially ceramics.

I wrote an earlier review but haven't located it yet, hope there's one for Debra Sagitto as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Trout Lodge although some participants were out of my age range. I'm so glad they enjoyed their stay!

This was my first Road Scholar program and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will probably try other programs, based on the great experience I had this past week. I met some wonderful people among the other participants. The instructors, hosts, and all the employees at Trout Lodge took great care of us. Thank you.

Carol from Madison, MS Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 04/14/13 - 04/19/13
This was the most enjoyable Road Scholar program I have been on. Melissa, the director, was phenomenal. Rick, Judy and Sheila, the instructors, made a wonderful trio that created such a pleasant atmosphere that flowed right into the audience.

Sharon from Longmont, CO Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 04/14/13 - 04/19/13
It was a great experience from touching base with Melissa prior to coming to set up transportation, being picked up by friendly Irena and returned to the airport for departure by Kayla who was great. The whole staff and everyone I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I can't name everyone so will just say a general thank you for the terrific care.
