The natural beauty of the Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, crossing to Bariloche, Bariloche, and Iguazu Falls gave the word awesome a new meaning for me.

We had delightful leaders; Charlie, Andrea, Katherinr, and, of course the ever-resourceful Victor! They took us to enchanting restaurants: the lavender farm tea room, the winery, and the equestrian farm. Such varied activities! From cathedrals and museums to tango lessons each day had some special and amazing!

A worthwhile and beneficial experience.

Deborah from Mound, MN Number of programs attended: 1

This program opened my eyes to both countries and provided an energetic introduction to South America. Iquazu Falls cannot be photographed or described adequately. So happy I got to experience it in person. I loved the mix of city and nature experiences.

Excellent, cost-effective trip. Would highly recommend it for an introduction to Santiago, Upper Patagonia lake district, Iguazu Falls and Buenos Aires. Excellent tour guide and very informative lecturers. Nice family visits to winery, Rodeo ranch and farm, giving details on their activities that one cannot get in books. The only "active" part was a 2.5 mile walk at Iguazu Falls, the other days involved under 1.5 mile walks in museums and city sidewalks. Pleasant group of 19 individuals with interesting backgrounds. Pack primarily summer clothes (with jacket or sweater), not cold like lower Patagonia.

Excellent and clear. Easy to navigate

Carol Dranoff, Brigantine,NJ Number of Programs Attended 1 Date attended 02/04/14-02/17/14 This was the first time I have traveled alone. I had taken multiple trips to Europe and Asia with my husband and friends. This unique experience has motivated me to do more similar traveling. I learned a lot about packing and other things which will be useful in the future. I loved the place we ventured to. The trip was well planned as well as so beautiful. I think my lunch at the farm in the Lake District was simply delightful. It was one of those experiencesI would never have had with another travel venue. Hats off to Francisco our guide.

Our recently completed trip to Chile and Argentina exceeded all my expectations. Our Group Leader was outstanding. the local guides knowledgeable and friendly, and the lecturers well prepared and informative. This trip for me was full of surprises, big and small, ranging from the sophistication of the cities, the similarity of the climate and terrain to parts of northern U.S., to something as unexpected as our guide in Buenos Aires being personally acquainted with Pope Francis.

Benjamin from Philadelphia, PA Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 11/05/13 - 11/18/13
"Expertly guided," is right! Crossing the Andes via land and lake route was awesome.

Janet from El Segundo, CA Number of programs attended: 5
Date attended: 10/15/13 - 10/28/13
Impressive program. At Iguazu, you will get soaked. Stuff newspaper in shoes to help dry. My favorite place was Puerto Montt.

Charlotte from Del Mar, CA Number of programs attended: 16
Date attended: 11/05/13 - 11/18/13
This program was everything I love: new adventure each day with highlights; e.g., a day at the Iguazu Falls in Argentina that everyone should see, but ten more adventurous experiences, expertly guided. It was one of my ten best trips of a long lifetime.

Lindrea from Austin, TX Number of programs attended: 1
Date attended: 03/12/13 - 03/25/13
We were pleasantly surprised at the variety of learning opportunities and activities that added to our overall enjoyment of traveling in a foreign country. The overall cost of the trip was more than worth the extra attention to detail, lectures, well timed transportation links, and exceptionally patient program leader who stayed with our group throughout.
