My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Civil War Road Scholar program. The field trips, lectures, a museums were wonderful. Free time allowed us to do a few "extra" excursions. The group leaders helped everyone get acquainted and have fun!

Excellent program, lodging, food, and guides. Snow on the first day made us feel right at home!

Excellent program. Great combination of touring and lectures. Ted and Ed, in particular, were outstanding as battlefield guides; but everyone associated with the program were great. Excellent hotel and great food (exceeded the normal Road Scholar dining quality). Highly recommend this program.

This was our first ever Road Scholar experience. We have nothing but high praise for the program and instructors. It certainly brought this tragic part of our National history to life. Both NPS guides were super. I only wish I had done more research prior to going on the trip but that's okay cuz now we have to come back to see all the things we have come to know about since then. Antietam and Harpers Ferry very worthwhile. Such gorgeous country...recommend this highly to anyone interested in our past.
