While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

My granddaughters and I had a great time on this program. I learned, they learned and we all had a great time doing it. The staff easily conveyed their knowledge to us; the trips were fun; they loved "skit night" and were anxious to show off to the family when they got home. Meals and accommodations were comfortable and pleasant; interns were wonderful to me and to the girls; I highly recommend this for everyone. I'd love to make a whole family reunion with this program.

This was a great program especially for children with an interest in marine biology and nature in general. The program was well run with very knowledgeable instructors. The interns were great with the kids and made the whole experience fun for all of us. Splitting the kids into two groups by age was extremely helpful as the kids were better able to bond and the instructors were able to tweek the material so that it was age-appropriate. We had no complaints about the accommodations or the cafeteria and the crab boil on the last night was great fun. I would definitely reccommend this program.

This program was very organized and well run. The one item they could NOT control was the weather. The temperature was in the 90's and although the dorms & meeting rooms had A/C, we were out in the sun most of the time. The facility is not on the beach and we spent only one hour swimming. The lectures were too academic for the age group but the field trips were a good balance. I suspect they used materials from other programs.
The food was poor - typical cafeteria, but the trip to The Creamery for ice cream was very welcome! The interns were very attentive and gave the grandparents a break. The instructors were excellent and really related to the children. I would recommend this program for a group above 11 years.
Although it was not part of the program - we did see the ponies!

This Coastal Ecology program was a great one for all the participants in this inter-generational experience. The teen age Interns were a welcome addition to the program, especially to us grandparents. Splitting the boys and girls was a great way for each group to bond! Jonah and Emma, our leaders, both did a fantastic job. The sleeping accommodations in Red Knot Residence hall were more than adequate, as were the meals in the Dining Hall. The only negative was taking the group out to dinner on Thursday evening. The service and meal were poor.
