Linda from NY, NY Number of programs attended:24 Date attended: 01/31/16 - 2/5/16 From John Ringling's magnificent mansion, Circus Museum and Art Museum to being wrapped in a live albino python, I heartily enjoyed the Sarasota Signature City program with the darling Martin and Barbara Cohen as our group leaders in this lovely and charming city.

This tour is a great way to get to know a lively city on Florida's gulf coast.

The Sarasota Signature City Program offers a diversity of topics -- the highlight of which is the Ringling Museum of Art, Ringling Circus Museum, and Ringling home Ca'd'Zan. Presentations & videos offered very nice preparations before viewing Sarasota's downtown architecture, circus history, and more. The Selby Botanical Garden is small but is a gem with excellent orchid and bromeliad collections. Martin & Barbara Cohen are excellent hosts.

We just completed a week participating in the Sarasota Signature City Tour. It was great fun and we learned some interesting tidbits that we had not known before we came. The presenters were great and our group leaders....Martin and Barbara Cohen were fantastic!

This was our first Roadscholar program, and it exceeded our expectations. Well rounded itinerary, great group leaders, friendly and welcoming attendees, excellent meals. We hope our future Roadscholar programs will be as excellent as this one!

This was one of the best, if not the best, Road Scholar program that I have ever attended - am thinking about going again in 2016.

This program encompasses the diversity of interesting aspects of Sarasota, from a mansion to museums to a botanical garden to theater. It focuses especially on the legacy of John Ringling, who is fascinating far beyond his obvious association with the circus. It is a great introduction to an interesting area, and, of course, a pretty darned nice location for a winter program!

When friends found out that I wanted to visit Florida, they strongly recommended the City of Sarasota. They were absolutely correct in doing so. It is a fabulous city from the warm climate to all the hospitable people I encountered. I intend to spend more time there.
