Sandy from Beaufort,Missouri Number of programs attended:9 Date attended: 10/5/15-10/11/15 This was one of my best Road Scholar Trips. Our guides; Gary and Sherry, were the very best guides I have ever had. They were always there protecting us, teaching us and making us laugh. Some of the hikes were very challenging but that is why we were there. You cannot begin to appreciate The Narrows,Observation Point, Echo Canyon, Bryce, etc. without seeing them. Wonderful group of people! Wonderful memories! A must experience trip!!!!

I am in my element when hiking and this trip did not let me down! The hikes in both parks were fantastic! If you are in good shape, you should have no problem. Sherry and Gary were our guides and they did a superb job! If you have not been to Zion or Bryce, you don't want to miss it - pictures can't do it justice!

Our experience with the Zion/Bryce hiking program was superb. The hikes in both parks were challenging, but that's part of what made them fun. The guides, Sherry and Gary, were positive, engaging, and informative. They are very knowledgeable and know how to take good care of a group of hikers. I have some fear of heights, but all the trails were safe, as long as you didn't do anything completely stupid. My wife and I are mid-60s and in good shape. We were challenged by the Observation Point hike in Zion, but not in any way overwhelmed; same for the hike in the Narrows (Zion) and the first day in Bryce. Both Zion and Bryce were beyond extraordinary...unless you see these places, you won't believe they can truly exist.

I live in a hiking paradise in California but I took the best hike of my life on this trip. The hike through Bryce Canyon was one I will never forget. It was so beautiful that it seemed unreal at times. Zion was also majestic but had many more tourists. I highly recommend this trip for the hikes and the excellent hiking guides. The scholarly part was hit and miss.

Well planned program with a group that was remarkably compatible. Great fun and educational.

This is a great program for enthusiastic hikers who want to know more about the rock formations they are passing through. Zion National Park provides majestic views and narrow canyons, while Bryce is simply spell-binding, with its quirky hoo-doos and changing color schemes. The program staff are all exceptional, and the natural beauty of this area will stay with you forever.

I had never done multiple days of hiking so I was a little worried about doing 5 days in a row. Fortunately I found this trip to be perfectly manageable for me and everyone else in our group. The scenery was beautiful and the guides very knowledgeable. I appreciated finding the itinerary to be exactly as stated.

This trip to Bryce and Zion was everything I could have imagined. Beautiful rocks, interesting people, great hikes. Gary told stories of canyoneering trips into some of the slot canyons. This program is a great introduction to Zion and Bryce and Utah I had never to any of these before and now I feel as if I have truly been there and experience the essence of what each has to offer. This is a great way to go.

Appreciated starting out the week with hikes that were not too long in order to adjust to elevations. The 8 mile round trip hike in Zion was challenging but very doable. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Bryce Canyon hikes were exceptionally beautiful. See a movie about Bryce at the Visitor's Center was a fantastic way to prepare myself for what I was about to see. The geology talks were so helpful to understand the forces of nature. I highly recommend this trip!

Marcia from Gilbert, AZ What a trip!!! The beauty of Zion and Bryce is daunting. My mouth hung open for most of the hikes taking in all the spectacular views. The guides were so much fun, they added much to an already awesome trip. Thank you for all that you did.

We just loved this trip !! Good coordinators, good guides, good bus driver, and good food . Learned a lot about the Mormon town of St George which was fascinating as well as all the geology at the different places. Was strenuous, but they made allowances for all skill levels.

Joyce and I participated in the March 31st to April 6, 2014 hike in Zion and Bryce. It was lead by Darrell and Paula McMahon with Fred as our driver. This team provided us with a great trip to a beautiful area of our country. Darrell did an excellent job explaining what we were looking at, while Paula kept us on schedule with Fred getting us there and back safely. This was our first Road Scholar trip, and hopefully the first of many.
