The Grand Canyon Odyssey was a highlight of my travel experience. It blended many areas of interest, including the history of ethnic cultures, animals, geology, geography and botany. For me it was a return to a wonderful outdoor classroom.

There aren't words to capture and communicate the magnificence of the Grand Canyon. This trip was an outstanding overview - from the start at Glen Canyon through the South Rim and down to nearly Lake Mead. Rafting, touring, group discussion, meeting new friends, helicopter shuttle, cross cultural presentations - what can you say? Outstanding!

Wonderful program covering so much of Northern Arizona, Indian Reservations, cattle ranching, the Grand Canyon Village and Marble Canyon. The helicopter ride and the raft trips were high points but I will always remember the group of people that shared my week.

Please use our narrative on the evaluation. It was written by my husband and me. We would like you to also share it with Bruce and Vic. Libby and Spencer Moore

Pete from Davis, Ca Number of programs attended: 15 Date attended: 04/12/15 - 04/19/15 There were some repeat parts of the program for me but as always I saw something new at every program site. I can't say enough about Bruce, Vic and of course Cowboy Karen. The total package. We saw beautiful country. Lots of driving but no way that could have been avoided. I agree with Jamie that singles(like myself) were welcomed by the others and made the trip even more enjoyable for me. The hardest part was arriving at the airport in Phoenix and having to get on the plane and come home. I highly recommend this program. NAU does a good job.

What a wonderful experience and trip. The trip leaders were fabulous and I made new friendships with many of those in the group. The single people (like myself) were very welcomed by the others in the group. Every outing and activity was incredible - the only downside to this trip was the amount of driving involved, which I'd estimate was between 2 and 6 hours per day.

This was an awesome trip. Incredibly beautiful scenery and highly informative. The very best feature was our Tour Leader Bruce. He was very knowledgeable, personable and organized. Bruce and our bus driver George were very capable in handling any problem that would arise. We learned so much about the geology and history of the area. Overall a fun and educational week.

If you are interested in experiencing the Grand Canyon upclose and personal, this is the trip for you! The geology, plants, animals, history are all available as well as experiencing the Canyon from top to bottom. I'm very happy!

I agree with Julie, our leader Dave, made this experience much more than I would have expected. Riding the rafts and seeing the Grand Canyon walls from the bottom was awsome. The helicopter ride down to the raft ride of the Grand Canyon West was great! Viewing the landscape from the bus was also spectacular. I'm looking forward to my next Road Scholar adventure.

Grand Canyon is a perfect trip for first time visitors to the Canyon. The leader was a geologist who provided invaluable information about the formation of rocks in the Grand Canyon. He made the trip enjoyable and well worth the money spent for this trip. Highly recommend it.

This is a totally awesome program. One really sees the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River from varies view points. And parts of North West Arizona alot of folks do not see.

Joan from Monessen, PA Number of programs attended: 4
Date attended: 09/20/13 - 09/26/13
An exciting and adventuresome trip. A different perspective of the ever-scenic Grand Canyon from the bottom up combined with a baptishm by Colorado River water. So thrilled I combined this trip back to back with the South and North Rim trip. It has so completed this item on my bucket list. I am fulfilled! These trips will reinforce what mere mortals we are in a world of wonder.

Mike you are awesome! I learned and shall continue to learn from the info on geology, botany, history, etc., etc., etc. concering this magnificent canyon that you introduced into my world.

Elaine from Fort Lauderdale, FL Number of programs attended: 1

My bucket list has been completed and I am preparing a new one and hope to be fulfilled by enrolling in another program with you.

Judy from El Granada, CA Number of programs attended: 2

This trip is very worthwhile and fun. Since the areas visited are remote, participants need to be flexible regarding accommodations and meals. Because the Grand Canyon is huge, there is a lot of bus time; however, there are sufficient stops along the way - for either education or comfort - to minimize boredom. This trip would be about perfect if it were extended one day (from six days to seven) to allow participants one full day of free time in the Grand Canyon village.
