While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This trip exceeded my expectations in every way.The landscape,History, culture and charm of Ireland and it's people leave nothing to be desired. Paddy Naugton gets my vote for the Best Tour Guide Oscar, bar none. If he moves on to teaching school it will be wonderful for his students but a great loss to Irish Tourism! If you are truly a Road Scholar and want to learn as much as possible while having lots of fun sign up fort this program ASAP. Mary

This was my first international Road Scholar trip. I was pleased at how well organized it was. The entire trip was one of the best I have been on, from the hotels, lectures, food and field trips. Of course the group leader, Paddy Naugton made the trip what is was. He was fantastic. I was pleased at how much of Ireland we got to see.

This was one of the best programs we've been on to date. The group leader, Paddy Naughton, was supurb. There's a lot of bus riding on this trip, but two things made it very enjoyable: the gorgeous scenery, and Paddy's thorough discussions of Ireland's culture and troubled past. We liked just about everything on this program, but especially: - The murals in Belfast, and the lectures explaining them - The walking tours of Derry and Galway - The tour of the Inishowen Peninsula - Dining with a family in Carrigaline (an unexpected surprise - we were divided into small groups, each going to a different family) - The Sean O'Casey play in Dublin All in all, a wonderful trip in a beautiful country with a facinating history.

Wonderful program. My husband and I liked the balance of geography, history, religion, art, and local life. We appreciated the free time built into the program and felt that the pace was just right. The hotels were all comfortable. Meals included a "full Irish breakfast" (plenty of food available on a buffet), lunches mostly in historic restaurants on the way, and 3-course dinners (with 3 choices per course) in hotels. We appreciated time with an Irish family near Cork, and a community potluck lunch in Tramore. Guides and lecturers were all good. The group leader, Stephen Delaney was absolutely tops: knowledgeable, caring, helpful, attentive to detail, and friendly. In a all, a splendid program.

Great program. The pace was perfect for us and just the right amount of free time. We felt that we had really seen Ireland and enjoyed meeting the people. Our guide, Stephen Delaney was wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful and fun.

It was the best conducted tour I have ever been on. The guides and instructors were exceptional. Everything was carefully orchestrated to deliver an endlessly interesting variety of information, experience and location.
