This was much more of a religious tour than I had expected from Road Scholar. The guides were Orthodox Jews who presented biblical myths and legends, about Abraham, Moses, and David, as historical facts. The guides never mentioned contrary archeological and historical evidence, or modern biblical scholorship which views these stories as not being literally true. This tour is more Road Religion than Road Scholar.

Had a great time in Israel Past, Present, and Future. My first trip with RS and was very impressed how friendly, organized and knowledgeable everyone was and how safety was always a priority. A very historical and spiritual adventure. Very comfortable way to travel if you are single.

Excellent tour program with important historical sites and interesting guides about Jewish and Christian history. Completely inadequate about Islam.

The trip to Israel was extraordinary. Outstanding guide with so much knowledge about the history, culture, architecture of the ancient and modern sites in Israel. We enjoyed excellent lectures from a variety of sources and had a chance to do a bit of archealogical explorations ourselves. We were particularly lucky to be there during the recent election to observe and engage in some good political discussions. Spring time was beautiful and the fresh fruits and vegetables food wonderful. I enjoyed the good walking each day and the opportunity to connect with good companions who were as eager to learn as I.

Just returned from the trip of a life time to Israel covering the 3 major religions that sprung from this country. High quality instruction from many experts; professional, comprehensive, and inspirational tour guide in Marty Friedlander; fresh, delicious, and plentiful food; history; archaeology; spirituality; nationalism; art; delightful fellow travelers; all details and needs provided for. I can't recommend it enough.

The tour of Israel was a comprehensive program that covered the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim history of Israel while explaining the current situations in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It is a physically challenging tour as there are uneven cobblestone walkways and many steps up and down especially in Jerusalem. This is a tour for people wanting an in depth presentation on Israel past, present and future.

This was the trip of a lifetime. Both the group leader - Cheryl Meskin and Tour Educator David Wexler - are national treasures and greatly enhanced both the comfort and educational quality of the program. Be sure to ask for them! Highest kudos and recommendations for this trip.

This is a wonderful tour of Israel. Perfect for those who want to visit only Israel and want to cover both the Jewish and Christian historical sites.

This was my seventh and best Road Scholar Trip. The itinerary covered major sites of interest. Especially liked that we had so much time in Jerusalem. The tour educator, Yonatan Kohn, was terrific and provided every detail we needed to appreciate the history and significance of the sites. Our Group Leader, Cheryl Meskin, was personable, entertaining (really), excellent at logistics and problem solving. We "lucked out" with these two guides/companions. Make sure they'll be guiding YOUR trip.

This was an excellent tour that was well organized, interesting and active. The tour guide and leader were outstanding. I would recommend this trip for anyone who want to see an unbiased tour of Israel.
