Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

If you are lucky enough to attend a program put on by Jean-Pierre, then you are indeed lucky enough !! Absolutely delightful, even with our large group of 38 participants.

Quebec offers a refreshing change of pace from most Southwestern USA locations. There were striking fall colors ...sugar maple reds, yellows and evergreen greens punctuated with white birch trunks and quaking leaves ... everywhere we looked in late September. Water "fixes" included reflections in still waters, placid stretches of river vistas and the drama of a long waterfall and the filmy mist and eddies of ripples in the stream below. Refreshing to the eyes, ears and nose! The adventurous could climb and hike, and others captured these vistas with camera or retinas. A few tempted their digestions with Poutine, but more succumbed to the lure of sweet, sweet maple sugar delights, all the better because we now knew how it was harvested and processed into tasty treats. (My haul included syrup, caramels, toffee and suckers for me and my pals.) And no matter how much Canadian and French-Canadian history I had studied in advance, I was not prepared for the "blood and almost tears" our lecturers shared about the country they love and worry about today. Those chosen to lead, guide and lecture on this trip were warm and hospitable. And while speaking French, they far outshine the arrogant French people of their mother country. For anyone in need of a cultural "hug," water or foliage fixes, I heartily recommend this trip to the Auberge du Mont and Quebec City. Vive Quebec et les Quebecois!

This wonderful program met all our expectations - We learned much about Quebec, its people, history, geography and culture; We had fun doing it; We met several new friends in the process. We were very pleased with this, our first, Road Scholar program.

This particular program seems to attract people with a lot in common - - and you should have no trepidation if you do not really know much French.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first venture with Road Scholar. The program was well planned, the hosts were warm, out-going and accomodating. I feel my money was well spent and would like to take another trip.

This program was wonderful. One thing the brochure doesn't tell you is how funny and entertaining the hosts are. We laughed all week!
