This was a delightful trip with breathtaking views all around. Some of the hikes, particularly in the second week were far more challenging than expected and I was relieved when our guide presented alternatives. Our group came from all parts of the country and was congenial and enjoyable throughout the trip. Food at the first hotel was not up to standards , though. At the end of the day waiting in line for steam table food is not terribly inviting. Our hotel in Bettmeralp, however, was spectacular in every way. Rooms were lovely, the views were splendid, our hosts could not have been more gracious and the food way beyond what we experienced in Wengen. Dinner was what one would expect in a fine restaurant every night. Our guides throughout we're knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great trip overall.

Unbelievable scenery while hiking. You stay in two swiss style Hotels up in the Mts. close to where you will be hiking. When you open your balcony doors the Alps are right there. The food was delicious - we even had Raclette and Fondue. On hikes we stopped at a Vineyard and a Cheese Hut and were able to sample both. Half the group used hiking sticks which I found helpful.

It is hard to imagine and remember just how utterly beautiful the Swiss alps are. Our group was 18 individuals from all over the US, and all of them inspirational. None of us is young but everyone was fit and positive and dedicated to making the most of their time is Switzerland. Our leader Katrin Derbsch was wonderful and effortlessly managed the logistics and the different abilities in the group. She is warm and caring and has perfect English. The accomodations were great, the food at the Hotel Waldhaus over the moon. What a wonderful opportunuty to walk in Switzerland

This is a wonderful tour if you want to truly absorb the Swiss Alps with their vistas and small mountain villages. The hiking can be a bit challenging at times, but the paths and views are well worth the effort. Do take hiking poles. They are an immense help. You stay in 2 small, typically Swiss, mountain villages. The small hotels and food are excellent. The mountains, the trails, the cows with their bells (!), and the wonderful guides are all you could expect and more. Hiking day after day in this profoundly beautiful area is an experience I will treasure.
