This adventure was a wonderful mix of hiking and sightseeing. The Tyrol scenery is magnificent, the towns & cities visited were charming & interesting. Lovely hotels and delicious food. Some of the hikes can be a challenge, so follow the guidelines for getting in shape to assure a pleasant hiking experience.

This trip was every thing I thought it would be. Food of the culture, great hikes in beautiful mountains and valleys, lovely accommodations, fun companions. Our weather was unusually warm for the time of year. You do need to be in fairly good physical shape to get the most of this trip but accommodation was made for those who found some of the walks too strenuous. Guides were helpful in explaining the degrees of difficulty each day.

Leslie from Albuquerque, NM Number of programs attended: 16
Date attended: 10/07/14 - 10/20/14
This trip was wonderful since we had great weather and a very congenial group of participants who were all enthusiastic and physically fit. Our oldest participants were 81 and kept up. All levels of fitness were accommodated and everybody had a great time.

Visiting the north and south sides of the peaks of the alps was very educational and showed how the tectonic plates colliding provide dramatically different climate and topology.

the sight is very good!

Judith from Williamstown, MA Number of programs attended: 5

Everything about this program was beautiful. Some of the walks were quite strenuous, but there were usually options, and our group which included people in their 70s and 80s did just fine. Great leaders, fabulous scenery, delicious food, immaculate hotels.

Catherine from Woodland Park, CO Number of programs attended: 3
Date attended: 05/27/14 - 06/09/14
A great trip. The scenery was spectacular, the hotels nice, and the food was great. The hiking was good - most of the hikes were around 9 miles, so you should prepare yourself for this trip.

Douglas from Pittsford, NY Number of programs attended: 5

This trip is a marvelous opportunity to hike some of the most beautiful areas in the world while staying at extremely comfortable hotels and eating some of the best meals I have ever had. Cannot recommend it too highly.
