I attended with my 10 year old grandson. We had a fabulous time. The activities were all very well done and interesting to us both. Rock City was beautiful and the Aquarium fabulous. Even the weather cooperated (not too hot). It was the perfect way to spend a week with my grandson. Loved every minute.

Our first intergenerational program. A very nice way to visit with our grandson. A very important part of any program is your fellow participants. It is clear Road Scholar attracts interesting people. Chattanooga is a great city for balanced family experiences. Our tour leader brought that extra element that showed us what is so nice about the South.

This program was outstanding, with a variety of activites that cover some Civil War history,World War two history, train and carousel history, and an informative hands on activity at the Challenger Space Center. The highlight was an overnight sleepover at the beautiful aquarium for the children. And the most important of all, a very knowledgable and well prepared guide, Carol.

The week offered many different subjects all of which were presented in age appropriate manner for the children. There was good organization that offered free time for the children to socialize during swim time conveniently located. We all enjoyed!!

This was a beautiful trip--well-planned, well-organized and well led. Carol Burton was a wonderful host, always smiling and enjoying herself along with all of us. We did have a great bunch of folks, grandparents and grands alike. I think all of us enjoyed being together and sharing all the experiences.

Chattanooga had been a town we drove through on the way to Florida. We always thought Rock City and Ruby Falls were tourist traps. How wrong we were!! My 11 year old grand niece and I had a terrific time. The aquarium sleep-over was a highlight for her as was the Challenger Learning Center. Carol is a terrific coordinator who relates well to both children and adults. The Choo-Choo Hotel is a perfect choice for the program. The food was quite good and had something to offer both the kids and the grands. The kids loved the option of three swimming pools. The free downtown shuttle across the street was convenient and easy to use. Our group had 9 boys and 7 girls and they all appeared to have a great time and how could they not...trains, space mission, cave, swinging bridge, optional climbing wall and tight crevices at Rock City, aquarium sleep-over, interesting lectures and tours, carousel carving visit, swimming pools with a waterfall and much more. If you are flying, you may want to contact Carol about borrowing a sleeping bag so you don't have to take one on the plane for the sleep-over.

My grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Chattanooga. Rock City, Ruby Falls, the amazing Aquarium, our ride on the Duck, the historic hotel, the quality of those with whom we interacted, the ease of getting around the Downtown area with public transportation--all contributed to a wonderful travel/learning experience for us. Carol is a fabulous facilitator, and I appreciated her attention to detail and the wonderful way she accommodated everyone's needs. Truly delightful!

This program is great for train buffs, history buffs and anyone who likes aquariums. It has a lot to offer for grandparents and their grandkids. The group leader was very knowledgeable, friendly and on a scale of 1-10 was a 15! We all enjoyed it and Chattanooga is a warm and welcoming city!

Here's an Intergenerational Program that is ideal for 9 to 12 year olds as well as interesting to their grandparents. Lots of variety offered and Chattanooga is a great setting. I will recommend it highly to other grandparents. Trudy Kriese

The program included things of interest for adults and of interest/education for the grandchildren. The small size was good, and the leader would be hard to beat.
